How is the Smart Parts patent fight going to affect AGD?

If all electronic guns are being contested by SP as infringement opon their patent, what will the impact be on the Emag and xMag?

Has AGD been served by SP as being in violation? Will Tom settle out of court or go to the mattresses (remember the Godfather movie). Enquiring minds want to know.

In my opinion its going to affect YOU more than them. If anything comes to pass then they will just have to pass along that cost to the customer. Thats about the only way isn't it?

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

well i was speaking to dayspring and he said that AGD Kingman Tippman and WGP will be the only few that will do ok seeing how they all make mechacnical guns. so i wont effect agd besides that E/X mags will be more expensive if AGD decided to sell electros

It's not going to affect anyone really.

Simple cost of doing business.Prices of manufacture fluctuate all the time.Ask Tom or any business owner what the rising cost of Workers Comp is going to do to the industry.

        Also,

There's a nearly 1 year waiting list on Xmags right now,of those people, how many do you think are going to bail if the price goes from $1400 to $1425.Not many if at all.

Same for any other high end gun, only possible effect is real low cost electros(BKO@$250).But they are getting so cheap, adding a few buck to the price won't hurt a thing.

        Jay.

few bucks, but you need to add in the licesne fee and such, and who knows how much that is

Many of those issues have already been delt with and had deals signed already.Where have you seen any huge price jumps on any products from the effected companys. You haven't.

I guess you'd have to be a business owner to understand how supply costs and business cost actually effect the retail side of a product. If a certain cost increases $X amount it doesn't typically mean you add $X to the final product on the retail side. Those primary increases in costs can be overcome many different ways including marginal increases across the entire product line or adjusting costs in other areas.

Wasnt it supposed to be the company pays 1 mill and then 75 or so for each gun sold? 1 mill is a lot of money.. they would have to distribute 1 mill into the price of the gun, not just the 75..
But then again that was one of the first estimates, I havent really been following this whole thing lately..

It's not having any effect on the consumer. Has ICD raised it's prices? DYE? No...........
