    WAS story...

    O.K., I thought I would post this true story for you people, since I am extremely bored.

    O.K., a friend of mine has a JT 5.0 and can easily outshoot his 12V Revy w/Xboard, and so he looked into getting some sort of upgrade that wouldn't cost a lot of $$$.

    So, he emailed Wicked Air Sportz in mid to late July and they said that they would send him a Turbo Rev II. So, he paid the amount on his credit card and they said it would be shipped. Anyway, this week he still heard nothing on the matter and so he asked me what I thought he should do.

    So, I went on pbnation and PM'ed [WickedAirSportz] and asked if he knew what was going on. He replied:

    ==============

    We have not taken any orders for the TurboRev II, as it is not even possible at this time. These are not available, and probably won't be available until late September or Early October.

    This person can contact our sales department concerning any issues involving orders. I will clip this message and forward it to our sales staff.

    Thanks for getting in touch with me about this, I certainly do not want anyone to thing we are ignoring them.

    So, I thought that maybe there was some sort of miscommunication. Obviously, Jim Drew responded within HOURS to my message. So, I forwarded this to him and he said he would wait for a reply to his emails on the matter. He got one that same day (after waiting days with no answer) from the "sales department" with a completely different story:

    They claimed that the item was sent, but didn't know what happened:
    ================
    We honestly do not have a very high success rate with packages going to
    Canada. We can not track packages sent via US mail to Canada unless
    they are sent International Priority, which is about $26 US for
    shipping. Basically, we ship a package to Canada, and if it doesn't
    arrive, we try again. Unless the customer is willing to pay more for
    shipping (which most aren't), there is not much else we can do about this.

    We do have a solution to this problem. We just appointed an exclusive
    distributor for Canada, that *will* pay the shipping charges. All
    future sales coming from Canada will have to go through our distributor
    there.

    We would be happy to send you another package, or refund your money.
    Just let us know what you would like to do.

    I never knew that UPS, FedEx, etc. can't track their packages. USPS delivers fine to Canada, I have never had any problems with them either...

    So, they refunded his money (which I believe shows they are more disorganized than dishonest). This is a good thing, and helps to SOMEWHAT offset a stupid transaction to begin with. Long story short, he is getting a HALO-B now and he will be a happy camper.

    At the very least, Fed-Ex should be able to track shipments to and from Canada. Also, DHL (I believe that's the shipping company) can track shipments to and from Canada (I bought something from Canada, and I was able to track it's arrival to my door).
    There are three kinds of people in the world: Those who can count, and those who can't.

    With understanding comes understanding.

    If the saying is true that we are what we eat, aren't we all just cannibals?

      Oh, I have purchased MANY items from the states. Some with UPS, FedEx, some with smaller carriers. Tracking is never a problem. I just think the whole problem was the left hand not knowing what the right is doing.

      Or, the sales department is selling Turbo Rev II's without the president's knowledge...

      Either way, I won't recommend anyone dealing with them until their reputation improves...

          I just stumbled on this thread.

          The sales department could never have taken an order for a TurboRev II, because they can't take orders at all. Our online ordering system has never had (and may never have) the TurboRev II on the site.

          So, according to the shipping record, this person was getting a TurboRev (not a TurboRev II), which was shipped via USPS and apparently lost. There is NO way to track USPS mail into Canada without a high cost service (Global Priority or Global Express). Canadian customers refuse to pay high cost. Our solution is simple - don't sell to individuals in Canada, just dealers.
