Okay, three man paintball is very unique. It is a game that needs to be played very smart. All you need to do in order to blow a game open is hit ONE guy. If you hit that one guy, chances are very good that you will win the game if you play smart and use your head. I just got back from my three man tourny, and the team I played with had talent, but we had not played together before.
The first few games, we tried to sit on the other teams to try to get them to come to us. This sometimes doesn't work very well. For us, the thing was that we needed to be the more aggresive style team. We sent 2 guys to the 50 off the break. This is completely unnecesary for three man, but it throws them off guard easily. All you gotta do is find somt9in that works and use it.
Hope that nonsense helped a little.

well one game, we sent everone to a 50 bunker, 50/50, snake, Sub, and the 2 V bunkers, the other team wasn't ready at all, the whole game lasted about 30 sec. i still had 6:15 left on my counter.
But then some teams ya have to stay back and let'em come to you.Comment

Of course I played in the Polar Bear. I played for 8 ball cubes, a subdivision of Cypress. We did fairly well for our first time playing together. For the prelims I was using an Angel, and for the Semis I was using a red RT, and for the last game I was using my Retro Mag. What team do you play for Yama?Comment

There was a good article on Ravi's Paintball Place (www.paintballravi.com) called "How not to suck". I thought it was worth every minute at work I spent reading it. : )
Something he says in there is if you're not doing any good in your current position move.
Anyway, we stuck with the 1 up two back method. Get an elimination, then bring your back guys up. We got a rather disappointing 8th place this time around though.SevenTwentyVideo Extreme Media
