I've just become a new mag owner (i'm sure you can tell if you read down far enough) and the gun i got was in a trade. I've been slowly tearing the gun down (i'm a former cocker owner and the mags simplicity amazes and delights me)..and i noticed the gun's previous owner did not take care of it..so..most of the parts on the gun that can rust, have started to..i need a new sear assembly and i was wondering if anyone makes stainless screws (like the front grip frame screw, the bottom of the grip screws, vertical adapter screw)..i've already purchased a minimag parts kit and that helped clean the gun up internally..but i also have another problem..i've come to find in my pile of parts a piece of brass tubing roughly a little larger than a centimeter..it's closed on the long side (meaning it was a flat piece of what looks like brass that was rolled into a tube)...i have no idea where it came from..if anyone knows..by all means tell me..i'm sort of lost right now..

New Mag owner with Questions such as where can I find Mag parts at?

OK first thing, call AGD and give them the number on the back of your valve to register your gun. Also make all the preperations with them to send your gun in for a check-up. IF you send the gun in they will fix it for free but will mill off one of the stars one you valve (you said you have a mini-mag right?)Those stars will represent how many times you can have your mag repaired for free before you start paying. It sounds like it might be worth it to you to have this done.
Also when you register the mag request the VHS tape and instructions. These are free and very helpful in the break down and repair of your mag. The tape is a little dated but still very helpful as the design has'nt really changed that much in years. Plus you get to see a much younger Tom Kaye introduce such new paintball innovations as some knarly looking compressed air systems. That alone was worth watching the tape for me.
Welcome to the mag family. -

I am not sure I follow your description correctly but it might be a Rail Bushing. If it is it is inserted into the rail in the hole where the field strip screw goes through to tighten up the slop.Originally posted by DiRTyBuNNy

Added on edit: A centemeter long checks out with Rail Bushing length. I almost certain its a Rail bushing now.
Here is a test: Take it and slide it over the Field Strip screw (long silver one with the knob like end and allen key hole in it). If it fits nicely sliding onto the screw thats what it is. Now...Check your rail (the hole the field srtip screw goes through) to see if one is already in there. If its not, press that one in and you are fixed. You do need one in there or the valve will slip back just enough to give you some missalignment with the sear and On/Off pin after a couple of shots and it will act funny. Sometimes these bushings fit tight and sometimes they fall out. A little lock tight will keep em in place if need be. If one is already in there then that one is a spare. Not a bad thing to have.Last edited by cphilip; 09-21-2001, 06:18 AM.Comment
