    Intellifeed questions for the z-grip

Well I have been through many of my old threads and followed all of magc68s instructions. I am really curious as to how people set up the microswitch in their Z's? I have decided to mount mine vertically with the roller at the top. I am going to use some electrical tape to insulate the 3 terminals from the aluminum frame after I solder on the wires. My main question is where do I mount the female phono jack in the z-grip and how do I do it? It is my only worry. I have everything else covered but the steps on mounting that. I also have a 6 ft wire but I am thinking about cutting a chunk out of the middle, staggering the wires then heatshrinking them. Any other suggestions? I was also thinking about getting the plugs that aren't pre-manufactured and soldering them myself. For your information I am running an intellifeed on my 12v revvolution. I thought about getting a turborev but the intellifeed seems to out perform it in every way.

    interface wire

Hey! I have been using the Dye Clear grip panels. They are a little harder, but easy to mill out a little square to fit the phono jack. And don't go splicing the wire. If you are not too good at soldering, Give me the length you need and I will make you one up. You pick up the parts bill.

First of all don't use the roller lever switch. Get the same switch from Radio Shack without the roller switch. It's much easier to setup without the roller lever switch. As for the wires, just drill a hole in the frame so that it connects the open grip panel area with the area that the trigger rod sits, like how magc68 did it. Don't use a phono plug jack. Just cut your wires to length and solder your plug in jack on the end. Then run the wires up through the frame and solder them to the switch. Wrap the switch in electrical tape so that you can shove it into the frame and it will be held in tight. On the switch, there's open side inbetween the lever and the black box. Place that side down so that it points towards the bottom of the frame. Push the switch in the frame towards the back and put it all together. Run your wires out of the frame in the back corner where there's that curve in the bottom right hand corner of the Hogue grip panel. Plug the jack into the Warp and test it out. Make sure the Warp is spinning on every shot. If not, adjust the position of the switch accordingly. I'll have pics up in a day or so of how I ran the wires out of the bottom of the frame. It's pointless to have the plug in jack on the frame. You can just roll up the wires and put them in the open area of the frame if you need to take the Warp off.

Tunaman no need I am good at soldering. I don't like the soldering irons too much though. Is it a bad thing that I use a soldering gun? Black I already bought the dual 1/8 plug that has one plug on each end. Do you really think I should cut off one end, splice, strip and solder the wires to the microswitch? You do make a good point. It is useless to try and mount two female jacks but I thought I might as well since they gave me 2 of them. Are there any disadvantages? It definetly makes it easier seeing how you have one less thing to mount. It really doesn't matter because I'll be going to radioshack tommorow to pick p a 90* plug.

Hmmm... So you're going to try and run interlink off of one switch to the Warp and the Revy, right? If so, you'll run into issues with the Revy spinning at a slow rate even when you don't have the trigger pulled. Wire it up and you'll see what I'm talking about.

black I don't have a warp. I am still debating whether I want one.

no problem. I already set up half of the intellifeed. I drilled the hole, perfectly I might add. I got the lever switch in with some electrical tape and small heat shrink tubes on the sides and the back to push it up and keep it snug. The switch activates after the trigger is pulled about 1.00-1.25 millimeters. I just have to rig up the female jack in the hopper and solder the wires. One question. What prongs do I have to connect the wires to?
