A co-worker just forwarded me this link: http://www.rctoys.com/. They've got all kinds of cool radio controlled vehicles with mounts for wireless video cameras, including a fully autonomous, GPS-enabled Predator drone. Would using these for recon be legal in a scenario game?

Dead By Dawn managed the first Airborne Assault via fixed wing aircraft
at Black Cat's "Alien Invasion" game.
We cleared it with Spiro, and had a buddy in a private plane make a run over a pre set quad of the field
all humans in the zone were eliminated via our pulse cannon
we have looked at RC drone technology, but ya wouldn't want some one hosing down 200 dollars of fiddly bits
camera traps maybe do able and stealthy enough to be un noticed -
One of the things I like about the Predator is that it can fly far above the effective range of a paint gun. It'd make for some interesting video.
