sign the petition to save my favorite animal: the Monk seal

Hello everybody: I like in hawaii (duh) and My island is the one most frequented by the endangered animal the Monk Seal. there are less than 20 monk seals in existance, and you can get 20 years in jail or a $25,000 fine for coming within 100 yards of the endangered seals. If you disturb them as they are sleeping n the beach, they wil go back into the water exhausted, and then drown or not be able to outrun sharks. currently they are the worlds most endangered animal. There is a petition right now to enforce laws more for the seals, and a petition to help breed them.
    read about them: www.kahea.org
    sign the petition:

Know what all endangered species have in common?

                They're delicious.

Um Kauaipaintballer are there really only 20 in existance? Where did you get that info? Ever heard of the NWHI? I think the number is closer to 1500. Its kinda cool that even though they are still really rare Ive seen them numerous times. They like to rest on the beach sometimes on the most popular beach on the island. Ive seen one while I was free diving which was kinda scary at first because the water was murky and I didnt know what it was. One time when I had just finished a night dive I was lying on the beach and had a small rubber raft next to me. I heard a sound that sounded like a small wave on the sand. Then all of a sudden something stars coming at me and I jumped up and shined my light at it and it was a huge monk seal. It barked at me and went back to the water. I think it wanted to mate my boat haha. Another time we tied a dead fish to a pole and threw it near the monk seal. At first the seal chased it until it looked out of the water at us and then just swam away.

Anything that lives in the water but is too stupid to not swim when its going to drown doesn't deserve to live. Anything that dumb is going extinct for a reason.

Even stupid seals need to live....

Hmm... and seems the Hawaiian one is the least endangered of the three types. One is even thought to be extinct it seems. Appears a species destined for extinction anyway to some extent when you look at how they evolved and how much trouble they have surviving in the climate they attempted to adapt to. And appears Sharks not willing to sign off on this.

But need some protection anyway for the possibility they can survive.
