Anyone care to answer some noobie emag electronics questions...

    Hey
I just traded for an emag...

Can someone explain how the board gets power - is it red lead positive, direct to board, and the ground is done similar to a car, with the grounding done through the frame? Is it entered into the board through the board mouting screw?
I have no recieved the emag in full yet, so I can't really explain correctly, these are just guesses. I may consider a remote battery, depending how comfortable it is.

Is it possilbe to fire the marker/power the board without the trigger frame? Which terminal is which?

Is the emag board fast enough for most of you? Is it worth getting emagnum/morlock? The software is 3.2....

I downloaded the emag PDF's, and I heard the video is good, but I can't find it.

Also, does powering an egg waste the battery on the emag? Does it alter consumption much?

    Thanks a lot

i've got 1.37 and it's fast enough for me.....3.2 gives you 24-26 shots, damn fast if you ask me

ppl run they're Halo + warp of the battery and get around 5k-6k shots per charge....
There's 10 kind of ppl, those who understand binary and those who don't...

FeedBack lol it's not much...but you get the idea :D

Yes, a positive wire (red) runs from a terminal in the grip frame above the battery pack along a grove in the top of the grip frame to the PC board. The ground is via the screw that holds the PC board to the grip frame.

It's not feasible to fire any 'mag without the grip frame attached as the bolts that hold the grip frame on also hold the whole thing together. BTW, do NOT try to remove the grip frame without removing the sear pin!

Yes, it's fast enough for me. I have 4.0 (similar to 3.2) and can get 18 bps raking.

I run a warp, revvy and the emag itself with the eMag battery. It works fine, but I do charge the battery before each day of play. You need to use a 12 volt regulator as the eMag battery is up around 18 volts.

1- this connects to the back of the solenoid lead, correct? Is the dovetailed side of the battery pack positive or negative?

2- I have an extra board from my teammates old gun, I just wanted to see if it powered up and what software it has

          3. Can you walk it well/at all? Do you have a roller trigger?

3- Walking it depends on how well you tuned the trigger. Well tuned, and it'll shoot great guns. No roller trigger. Light enough, and you can rake it really well.

I don't remember where it is exactly soldered to. The solenoid is "directly" wired to the battery. I think that the positive lead from the battery is soldered to the board and the "positive" lead from the solenoid is also soldered to the board.

I can't walk anything. However, I believe that the trigger would be quite walkable by someone capable of walking a trigger.

I don't have the roller trigger on the eMag. I use manike's raking technique.

The dovetailed side is the positive side. Neg post toward the front. Dont snap the white buttons off putting the board back in...
