my comp at work don't have adobe, and mrmike's link isn't working. what happened, and how did the scammer get scammed?Comment

^mine isn't working?? it works for me
but any way the scammer was going to buy a mac g4 laptop and not pay the 2100 (lives in london)
and the seller(lives in america) figures it out and instead of just stopping it he continues it but sends the scammer a 3 ring note book that was written on to look like a laptop
and the scammer fell for it and had to pay27% tax on it so it ended up being $800 or somethig

This was posted yesterday on Slashdot.
The guy in the "UK" tries to scam the guy on Ebay.
The guy on Ebay gets wise and sends him a 3-ring binder (a notebook) with keyboard keys glued onto it and stuff. Given there is customs tax from the US to the UK, he declares the value to be 2000 dollars. The estimated customs tax was about 1/4 of the price. So the guy who received the p-p-p-powerbook had to pay 400 dollars for a 3-ring binder.
It's quite funny.
BTW- the mannequin.com link went down sometime today around noon.

You know, SomethingAwful.com is my favorite site on this entire God-forsaken wasteland we call the Internet (Except AO, of course.) This is why. Stick it to 'em SA!
