Someone help me with spacers, I have a .220, and want to kno if I should get a kit

How can I tell, and what should I do, I am looking for a lighter trigger pull, AND if I do get lighter pull, will that mean the trigger is pushed back into place slower???
lookin fer IR3 or Xtreme (C&C)

black RT Mag for sale. Great condition. Stock barrel, sanded bolt, I-frame, blade trigger. Extra parts, bolt spring, internals o-rings, extra hardline, nubbins, hardline. it doesnt break balls except on ppl. asking $450.

I don't think that it will be pushed back slower, and how can you tell what? Not all mags can use the same spacer, but I have a .215 in mine and am fine with the trigger pull and left it alone. But I gave my friend a .230 and it worked for him. I couldnt use that long of a one, I tried before. So just do whatchya want.

      I want to know:

If I should buy a longer spacer, and if it will lighten my trigger pull.

I am happy with my current pull, but happier with an even lighter pull.

I just dont want to blow 15$ on a kit that will do nothing but give me leaky spacers, or trigger tightening ones.

Why wouldn't AGD just put in the best spacer right out of factory? And why aren't they all the same???

Well each valve is diffrent. AGD puts the spacer that works with most guns in that way it will be sure to work. I used to have a .225 in mine (that came stock) and after a while I beleive I had to switch to a smaller spacer. After a while you may have to put a smaller spacer in I think(If you put to long of a one in there or something). AGD puts a pretty mid range spacer in there so they don't have to do all kinds of tests on each valve. I was gonna just give you a spacer, but I can't find them! If I find one, I'll let ya know. I think I have a .220 and .222. Ok well later.

          ok so

are you saying that you had to shorten to a smaller spacer? why did you, was your gun leaking?

A longer spacer should then make trigger pull less, but have potential for leaks quicker, aye?

Oh yea, toss any spacers u got my way! replacing my .220 spacer with a .225 or whatever would make my trigger lighter, but a .115 would tighten it, correct? (leaks not included)

toss any spacers ya got my way!...plzzzzz

They don't make .115, they make .215 which would make you have a stiffer pull. I think my gun can work with the .225 but the spacer needs to settle in mine before I gas it up for some reason(sometimes for a day or so) and I just usually dont remember to test it when I have enough air. So I will be lazy and stick with a shorter spacer. If your spacer dosnt leak when you put it in, you are fine and wont get leaks, unless after a while it needs a shorter one (Which I don't know WHY it would, but MAYBE it would...I donno). So im lazy about this cuz I like the triggerpull fine, and I have the shortest spacer in there. But if you put a longer one, say a .225 and it dosnt leak, you are fine.

I beleive it more like changes the characteristics of the trigger, making it softer, but yes. the longer the spacer the more lighter or shorter your trigger will be, and the opposite with a shorter spacer.

Having a longer spacer would "lighten" the trigger pull.
What it really does is reduce the distance the stem of the bolt has to travel to clear the powertube o-ring. This will result in less friction or drag of the surface area and in effect give you a "lighter" trigger pull.

And vice versa for a short power tube spacer.

BTW...shouldn't this be in the tech forum?

but all the damn spacers look the same size no matter which way you look at them.......

the .220 i got on my minimag stock leaked like a whore, so i bought the whole damn spacer kit and threw in a .215 and it fixed my problem

                        sorry about the language

                            spacers

A little advice...if you have a marker that doesn't leak, LEAVE IT ALONE! You will be searching for a lighter pull, but it is not noticable enough to go messin' with.
