    It does not seem right

What kind of piston would this be? And where in the gun would it go?

i believe these are for really old mags that needed a different piston.

The way I understand it, back in the day the regulator piston was designed solely for CO2 usage. Then along came HPA, and the piston didn't work optimally for whatever reason (I doubt it has to do with the actual pressure, since both CO2 and HPA come into the gun at somewhere around 800psi, probably something to do with the nature of the gas).

In any case, a new piston was designed to work better with HPA. Hence, a high pressure piston.

I don't think there have been any mags made without the high pressure piston included for quite a few years now. If you aren't having problems with your mag, don't worry about it. If you still have a concern, call AGD and ask them.

If I understand this whole thign totally wrong, I'm sure someone will come along, slap me to the curb, and explain it better :)

          It may be that...

I know there are seals and such out there slicker and better than urethane and other materials used in CO2 guns. This piston may have a part that is better but won't work with CO2. Onsecond thought it prolly is just bs.

The earlier mags were CO2 based only. Thus the reason you now see various levels that guns are upgraded to. For example my gun SN CF00810 was never mant to work on N2 as it never existed. Heck back then 7oz CO2 tanks were new. Thus AGD offered upgrades to the internals as necessary to keep up with the industry. Now my gun is a LvL7 and completly able to handle N2. I am not sure where the cut off was where upgrades were necessary to move from CO2 to N2.
