Help me out with the HPA, and gettin a good deal.

I really have no clue as to what kind of long term HPA I should get.

1-If I ever got the RT I'd want to take full advantage of it, so what are some good tanks?

2-Should I buy E-Bay? Or wait till I find a crazy sale online?

    3-Carbonfiber?

4-How hard is it to adjust the tanks, and what exactly does adjusting it do?

5-SHould carbon fiber always be covered to prevent damage?

6-How often do I have to "hydro???" my tank and or replace it?

7-What's a good medium size for mavuerability? 88ci?

    thanx fer help

lookin fer IR3 or Xtreme (C&C)

black RT Mag for sale. Great condition. Stock barrel, sanded bolt, I-frame, blade trigger. Extra parts, bolt spring, internals o-rings, extra hardline, nubbins, hardline. it doesnt break balls except on ppl. asking $450.

1-If I ever got the RT I'd want to take full advantage of it, so what are some good tanks?

-Centerflag' Hyperflow and Dynaflow, Max-Flo, Armageddon, etc.

2-Should I buy E-Bay? Or wait till I find a crazy sale online?

You can but you may not get what you think, used tanks are good on paintball forums, where I got my Dynaflow at a good deal.

    3-Carbonfiber?

I would for weight. I don't know many adjustable steel tanks

4-How hard is it to adjust the tanks, and what exactly does adjusting it do?

Not hard at all...it changes the output pressure and, in the case of an RT, the trigger reactivity

5-SHould carbon fiber always be covered to prevent damage?

Not a bad idea. Why spend that much on a good tank and then not protect it? Get a fill nipple cover too.

6-How often do I have to "hydro???" my tank and or replace it?

Around 3-5 yeard depending on the type of tank

7-What's a good medium size for mavuerability? 88ci?

68 - 88 ci in 4500psi. if your field can fill them.

    thanx fer help

size depends on how long you can go between fills, and whether your field can fill nitro at all, let alone to 4500 psi.

Personnaly, my field doesnt fill nitro yet, so i just bought a 114cu maxflow so it can last me the whole day

If your leery about buying on line, Doc Nickle has a program where he will check out the mag, say if it's what the guy says it is (upgrades, condtion, etc). Basically, after you win the auction, they guy sends the gun to Doc, doc examines it, and then, if you still want to buy it, you send doc the money, he sends it to the guy, and he sends you the marker.

I don't think you have to worry about Doc ripping you off either. He's got plenty of guns, TONS of mags.

Palmer will do this for his guns too. Doc charges a little for it, I belive Palmer does it for free. He did it for a blazer a bud of mine bought.

For air systems, you don't have to be TOO choosy. Any system that SM5 said is cool. He forgot to say, AGD Flatline though... :)

The smart parts ones are pretty darn expensive. I think those Center flag ones look pretty killer myself....

I have a crossfire 51 cube fixed, and it will give me about 400 to 550 with my AIR valve. I have a 12" Dye and a 14" JnJ. Nice tank, good for on gun.

          Whoa

All those recomended tanks are mad phat sic dope expensive!
Maybe I'll stick with a Crossfire Stub till I move up to being a more serious tourney player with a team...and an RT.

SO if I want a cheap tank that's safe, buy from online forums and stuff...perhaps from here in the classy's?

What's so special about the AGD Flatline? 299.99 for a 3000psi 68ci seems like a load out my pocket.

Thas why I suggested you look for a used tank. People are as trendy when it comes to air systems as they are when it comes to guns. I got a less-than-one-year old 68/4500 Dynaflow that was used on a guys backup gun for $300. And that came with a really nice shocktech drop.

And you did ask about good tanks. If you want to look at ok tanks try ACI Bulldogs or something in that price range. But personally I'd hold out for something better.

Heh. Yea dude, don't break yourself on a tank. If you can't shoot 10+ rounds per sec and keep 'em in a 1' pattern, then you won't see the diff between a $400 tank and a $100 tank.

Go for a Crossfire or a Bulldog now. They are eons better than C02. C02 used to be all that was avaible just a while ago.... Glad I wasn't playing then :)
