OK folks, we're getting down to the wire.

PLEASE be sure all your people are geared up and prepared to hit the field BEFORE the mandatory orientation at 8 a.m. on Sunday!

You MUST make that orientation to learn and understand what the field and event rules will be for this game! Otherwise, you could find yourself being asked to leave without a refund.

Players WILL be asked to chrono on-field; players WILL be badge punched for:
Hot guns
Bonus balling ("Over-shooting" - continuing to shoot a player once they have signaled they are eliminated)
Unsportsmanlike conduct (cursing or behavior unbecoming a stand-up player)
Arguing with a referee
Coming within 20 feet of a "tank"
Shooting paint at the tented command bunkers
Playing on after being hit
Blind Firing (You must see what you are shooting at)

Two badge punches is all you get before your badge number is removed from the drawings for all the FREE stuff!
A third punch will not happen! You are DONE when caught violating the rules a third time!

Players WILL be escorted from the property for:
Consumption of alcohol prior to going on field FOR ANY REASON
Physical contact with another player without permission
Blatant cheating
Swapping of sides - You MUST play for the side you are assigned to!
Inserting the field from anywhere other than YOUR SIDE'S insertion point
Using non-event paint (the paint sold on SUNDAY ONLY)

These are only the highlights!

I STRONGLY urge everyone to read through the General Scenario Rules of Play, located HERE (http://www.scenariopaintball.com/)

There will be children and new players at this game! The experienced players are EXPECTED to help these guys and watch out for them ("Each one, teach one").
This is a day of fun and competition - for charity.

Read through the event schedule HERE (http://www.celebritypaintball.com/eventinfo.html) and plan accordingly.

I look forward to seeing all of you and having a great day of ball!

Using non-event paint (the paint sold on SUNDAY ONLY)

Silly question -

On the website it says:
Saturday, Sept. 4

8 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Event Paint and air available for “Mobster Mash”; rental paintball gear available

This paint is okay right? Because it's "event paint" or the only paint you can buy on Sunday for the big game?

now dont quote me on this, but i would assume that event paint will be sold on sat so the players can pod up and such. at most scenario games the paint is offered the day before so you can do this. but like i said i am not CPX or MXS so they would be the best ones to answer that.......

Thank You MOTHER! I got blasted with 13 shots by the same guy in front of a ref last year while walking off the field with my Marker up and barrel condom on. It was in the middle of the field near where the vendors were so it was very easy to tell that I was unmistakenly already out.

From my understanding...

CPX will conduct open games on Saturday, using their $90/case field paint.

This is different paint than what will be supplied for Shatnerball III (??/case event paint)

Coming within 20 feet of a "tank"

Hmmm I wonder if this is going to include the team on the side of the tank this year? Last year they said that EVERYONE had to stay 20ft away from any tank, and yet when shatner pushed across the field in his there were his guys all over the tanks, well within the 20ft radius. Not to mention the tank can just drive through a set of bunkers, getting close enough, and everyone just HAS to clear out? Doesn't make sense, even if it is for safety's sake.(if thats the case why drive TOWARDS a bunker in the first place?)

according to the rules a tank cannot approach a bunker anymore..it is considered an aggressive move thus it would be called out...its in the GSRP...

The only paint you can play with on Saturday is the CPX field paint.
We expect the event paint trucks to be on-site Saturday, so yes, you can purchase the event paint early to pod up. But you cannot shoot the event paint during rec play on Saturay, nor can you shoot the CPX field paint on Sunday.

Confused yet?

Yes.
The Sunday event paint will be sold by Tippmann, Zap and PMI from their trucks.

Only CPX field paint will be used during rec games on Saturday.

Players must stay 20 feet from any moving "vehicle" - or "tank" on the field. This includes PUGs (foot-powered walking tanks), go-cart tanks, 4-wheeler tanks, cars, trucks, etc.

Tanks and players may not encroach upon each other inside that 20-foot area. The encroacher will be called eliminated.
Therefore, players may not jump out behind a bush 10 feet away and shoot at the tank, and the tank cannot run up on a bunker and chase players around it.
There should be neutral tank walkers with every tank on the field to ensure this 20-foot rule is observed.

This will be included in the MANDATORY player orientation Sunday morning, and all tank drivers will be given a copy of the rules to follow for this game.

That will depend on the paint vendors.
Ask and see which ones will work with you.

PM me and I'll break down part of my case. I know a few people that won't be shooting that much.

If anything the vendors may break the cases down to the 500 rnd bags.
