What can one do with a laptop in their car?

Besides GPS, war driving, and supplying one's daily amount of "adult content", what other useful purpose can a laptop serve?

Is it even worth bothering oneself with all the wires and mounts and what not?

Jon's car was pretty neat, and that partially why I ask. I want to see if I can use a laptop for anything else besides GPS and internet(assuming I can get service) while on the move.

CARPUTER!!! You can put all you music on there and feed it into you stereo. Im planning on doing that once i get some money . Paintball, car audio, and computers is a horrible combination of hobbies for you bank account.

GPS is always more than enough reason..

If your a passanger though... Do whatever the hell you normally do. But as for driving.. GPA and music is all I've ever used it for.

i know a guy thats got a laptop in his regal wagon. he uses it to control and make adjustments to his engine. grand national driveline in the wagon.

i just built myself a new computer and have an alien ware sitting around here that I cant sell (dad bought it for me)

I got a truck so the only place I could put it is under one of the seats. would I just put it on play random or something?

Have the laptop audio connected to your sterio/amplifier and have at it.

Basically if you have your laptop open and r using it while u drive or are stopped at a light or train u should have a stand for it.

As soon as I decide as to what I will be driving next I will get the stand mounted in my car/truck for one of my laptops.

If you live in a pretty urban, or suburban, area, about 80% of wireless LANs are completely open. And as that wireless routers are pretty cheap, you could easily use somebody's network.
