I'd like to know how to discharge emag's batteries for an extra long-life use? I know that the metal hydride battery still have a memory effect but less than Nicd.

The memory of metal hydride is so small its a non-issue - you shouldnt be able to percieve it period.
Other wise just rig up a small light bulb with two alligator clips to run it down.
