    S.F. Bay Bridge Const. Pics.

Just snapped these as I went over today. I've been watching it happen for a couple of years now, thought you guys might want to see a MAJOR event.

    Brent.
I don't practice anymore: I'm just good in a natural, vicious sort of way.

Will you please tell your boobs to quit staring at my eyeballs?

Yeah, the OLD bay bridge. The section between Oakland and Treasure Island has actually been condemned since the quake, but they really can't just close it, as that would kill San Francisco. So people have been driving on that deathtrap for over 10 years waiting for them to even start the new bridge.

On a related note, upstate NY has been condemned for over a decade for being a plague infested craphole, but people still live here, and some people have even been crazy enough to intentionally move here

Oh come on, its not nearly that bad. Try fighting through 2 hours of traffic each way just to get back to your massively overpriced home in a crime-infested city. Actually, I'm really liking upstate so far.

Now I'm glad I drove over the Bay Bridge at night, after reading all of this, back in March.

Wow, you could drive busses/trucks through the middle void in the prestressed concrete setions.

Here is a shot of the gantry line, looking west. For those that do not know, the lowere deck goes east to Oakland, and the upper is west toward San Francisco.
I just shot these by pointing my camera out the window.
