AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
some 1 tried this b4, but its a pain to tighten them right without scratching anno, and i wouldnt recomend making them as hott as you have to for powder coat...

I looked into this a lot...
1. They cant be annodized becuase of the metal its made of (nickel plated brass)
2. You can powdercoat them, but powdercoating adds a small layer onto it. This layer will either get a) scratched when you try to install/remove it, or b) build on to the threads, rendering the fitting useless.
Also, since one finish involves dipping the piece in acid (anno) , and one involves intense heat, the O-ring on the inside swivel will get damaged and the fitting will leak.
I reccomend screwing it into an old ASA or any 1/8" thread, popping a piece of macroline in it, spraypainting it (do it nicely now), and then using that. Cheaper and effecient.
