ive wanted a borg since they first came out. the problem is, they cost way too much, so i settled for a $460 freestyle. i finally sold it, and got this borg which has just about every upgrade i wanted, in a color i like. the guy had little feedback though so i had him ship to destructive customs as a third party, but it showed up over two weeks late. i had to use my matrix for two practices, which kept chopping. so far this shoots fine, although the guy took horrible care of it. its a bit scraped up and dented, especially on the left side near the trigger pin (i dont know HOW he managed to do that installing a new trigger...). he took the picture he showed me so that the flash reflected off of the scratched part, and said the marker was "slightly scratched" around the trigger pin when i asked. the ram was way too sticky and looked like it hadnt been cleaned since he got it, it was covered with residue. i cleaned everything, relubed it, and now the ram and bolt will slide back and forth when i shake the marker. he had the trigger set up without a spring, and with the 25g trigger on the tadao board, it was way too bouncy. it would shoot (sometimes multiple times) if i held it and hit the tank. i drove out to radio shack and installed rare earth magnets for a trigger return, and its at least legal now. i was a bit concerned about that, considering the guy i got it from played NPPL and PSP. now i just have to figure out which barrel kit im going to sell, since i now have a matchstik and empire.
FINALLY got my cyborg

Ick, the denting is nasty. What a retard that guy is. But hey, if it shoots sweet for you that's all that matters. SELL THE EMPIRE KIT and keep the Matchstick definitely!Comment

well, im waiting on offers for both :) neither is really better than the other, its just the numbers/sizes of the backs and fronts, and the matchstik seems to be more popular. but it also goes better with the borg.Originally posted by warbeak2099SELL THE EMPIRE KIT and keep the Matchstick definitely!
oh, and the 2k5 CP on/off is really, really nice. i can just flick it with my thumb and turn it on or off. ive had it for a while, but until now didnt have a rail for it to go on.Comment

i looked around, didnt find it, asked someone for magnets, and he showed me a row (which was in one clump) with only about 4 different kinds, one of which was rare earth magnets. i wouldnt trust anyone at radioshack to know what rare earth magnets are, the girl at the register said "wow, those are really SMALL magnets!" when i bought them. actually, i was looking for smaller ones, but they only had one size.Originally posted by Pha|anxWoot!
Another joins our ranks!
How did you do the magnet install? Just walk in to RS and ask for "rare earth magnets" they will know what I am talking about?Comment

So I am looking for a really tiny magnet? But where/how do I mount them? Glue?
Care to enlighten us?
yeah, its a little less than 1/4 of an inch in diameter. i epoxied one to the tiny set screw in the frame, and the other to the trigger (i countersunk the trigger first, but that may not be necessary).Comment
