What air tank and pressure should I use?Emag xvalve

Ok this might seem new, but I am used to using CO2 to play paintball. Now I am going to buy an air system for my Emag. Well, I was just wondering what is a good pressure to use and what is the difference between 4500 and 3000. Here in southern Ca, they fill your tanks to only 3000 so I am not sure why 4500 would be an option or does it still matter?
I am also a front player rusher type(which is my reason for the Emag), I would want a tank that is light and small, but not too small still want to get a decent amount of shots.

    Any advice would be helpful

    Thanks guys

since mags are high pressure (850 psi) i would reccomend you getting a 68/3000 tank since your field shop only fills to 3000

i think the shots per psi are approx.

10 shots per CU in 3000psi
15 shots per CU in 4500psi

That sounds right think you will get a few more shots if you do not run at Full input pressure.
I would rercommend for any Mag to use an adjustable output reg on the tank because you
will have a greater control over the reactablity of your trigger. Mine is working fine at 600-650 psi.
But, the fixed regs are cheaper.
Then you will have to get a ULT to temper the reactive trigger.
It is 6 of one Half dozen of the other.
I opt for the adjustable tank reg.
The choice is your of course.
      Just my two cents.

        Stay away from DYE TANKS!!!!!

They have horrible recharge rates for MAGs in general.

          He's using an e-mag, he doesn't NEED a ULT

The difference between a 68ci 3000psi and a 68ci 4500 psi is you end up with more air in the tank, which yields more shots per fill assuming you have a full fill. The reg on the front of the tank will feed out the same pressure to your gun until you have less pressure than the output of your tank. For example, f the reg's output is 750 psi, you'll get 750 psi out until the tank has less than that. Just make sure you get a high pressure output tank. There are some fixed output tanks that put out less than 400 psi. Those are designed for the lower pressure guns and will starve your mag, if you can even get it to shoot.

Since you can't get a fill above 3000, I wouldn't be concerned about which you get, whatever the price is best for you. As eluded to above, an adjustable output tank works well on mags because you can change the output of the tank, thereby increasing the reactivity of the trigger, how fast the trigger pin is returned, however this is not a factor on the e-mag except when in mechanical mode as the magnets are used for return in e-mode. I have an adjustable on mine, but I have 10 guns and 3 tanks...

With all that said, a fixed output, high pressure tank at least 68ci fiber wrapped would be the best overall value for you.

            OOPS
Cratal is right. NO ULT for a Emag. I need to read more carfully.

If you are getting an e-mag with an x-valve, yes. If you are getting a regular mechanical mag with an x-valve, yes, but you can use a ULE Trigger kit
