A Tribute to AO over PBN...no offense PBN

I was just sitting around and thinking about this....shut up i have a life....but did anyone ever notice how the average IQ here is double that of the average at PBNation. No offense to PBN, there are a great deal of smart guys that know their stuff there, but it seems to me that AO somehow is filtered. For example, i had to clean both the front and the back of my pants when I read somebody's explanation of the differences between dm/pm/4/5/6's, i think it was magman? I'm not sure. Or, another example, the sick amount of products available from Rogue, Luke, Coolhand, Tuna, etc. They're all skilled engineers. Even more, 90% of the classifieds at PBN include something along these lines: "My 1337 gat is so aggtastic, it will mow muppet n00b's like no other!", while if there was an ad like that here, there would be a 5% chance of it selling. So I just wanna thank everyone for being normal people...

I think a lot of it is age. The number of younger people (like myself) is a lot lower here than over at PBN because mags are older. If someone went to PBN and posted a pic of a gun that was 10 or 15 years old, then said they still play with it today they would be 'ed to hell.

Personally I think that we have smarter conversations for one reason. Many people think this site is STRICTLY automags. Most of the people who own automags are in the older agegroup and actually know what they're talking about because they have been playing longer than many of the people on PBN have been alive.

the ratio of idiots to not is probably about the same, but its much less apparent here because of how many less members there are
and i do think that certain aspects about AO are better than PBN, like helpfulness maybe?

It could also be a better group of moderators...not to kiss butt...BUT, I have noticed that there are guys that say stuff on pbnation that would not be allowed on pbreview and would certainly not be allowed on AO. I'm sure (from experience also) that when you are the victim of the more harsh judgement, you object...but I think it is useful in that it keeps some of the blatent nonsense from occurring.

You just reminded me of a good point. Most of the idiots have mommy and daddy's platinum credit cards onhand and they use the banners a lot, so PBNation has to keep them unbanned so they have paying customers(banner-buying companies)
We on the other hand just sell out to random non-creative banners from google that are basic search banners that have links that pertain to the thread conversations

someone said previously about pbn, "the number of idiots on pbn drowns out the smart people", or something to that effect.

At AO, i think its the opposite, theres enough smart people, who are vocal enough, to drown out the idiots. with knowledgable (sp?) people like Army, coolhand, tuna, rrfireblade, roguefactor, even magman007, (etc etc) posting regularly, it seems like the idiots here just sorta get pushed to the back and forgotten about till they disappear for good.
