In school I am taking a CADD class, we advanced from Autocad 2000 to a program called Solid Works. My teacher asked me to make something, so I decided to design a new Raptor body. I didn't have my 'mag yet when I first decided to do this but my bro has the same class and is doing his mag body. So anyways, I made some new advances on it. Basically i just wanted to design something that I liked to do and something that i knew about. It has a vertical feed, Autococker detent adaptable, and some milling; thats basically it. Here are some pics, the first is a screenshot of the actual program. I hope the pics aren't to big. let me know what you guys think about it, or what you would like to see me design, within reason.

another pic just of the body -
i didn't think cockers had side slots for the cocking knob or a tube in the bottom for the striker like that, haha. but anyways, its a Raptor body.Comment

Is there a website where I can download a tryout CADD program?Comment

CoFFeY[NiTrO]--i don't think so, never heard of one anyways. the newer ones are actually very large programs, so i don't know if it would be possible to download a version of one, or it might just take foreverComment

Hmm.. im not much for CAD.. I use 3DSM, mainly for art, not design. Thats how I made my Fantasy Emag.. who nobody voted for :)
Well, it didn't have anythign too special on it. Problem is I'm running Win98 with 128 megs of ram, and the Emag was around 200,000 polygos. Yea, 200,000. So I crashed alot and hardly ever got to work on it.-Vegeta

oh i should mention that i didn't just copy and paste a body off the internet and put some milling and stuff on it. that was built entirely by me. i just took some measurements off of my body and converted them and made that.
Vegeta--did you design the whole thing by hand? or how did that work?
Cha0tic--i took the measurements staight off of my original body so the cocking slots should be good, not sure about the milling thoughComment
