What type of music do you listen to?

    Hello all,
Well, I know there are a few Favorite Band threads, but I did not come across a favorite music thread.
So, what do you guys listen to? I listen to Classical music, German Music(Classical, Contemporary etc...), Russian Music, Persian Music, and I might fire up some Collective Soul once in awhile.
I cannot stand rap - because I donot get a kick out of all the swearing and nonsense they talk about. No offense to all of you who do.
My favorite composer would have to be - **Hanz Zimmer**(He is so dreamy..... ).

    ~ Cheers

Yeah, the only Indian music I know/like is Daler Mehndi's Tunak Tunak Tun. Man it's so hilarious, and the music video makes me laugh everytime.

I generally stick with Industrial and Metal. And not just the typical Industrial you hear today... if you've ever heard old Einsturzende Neubauten, you know where the term 'industrial' REALLY came from.

Punk is good too... I've been collecting old and new Misfits stuff for quite some time now.

I also have a soft spot for euro-pop, especially all synth stuff (like Kraftwerk, which is my absolute favorite band.) I also really enjoy listening to Classical.

So that leaves out: Rap, Hip Hop, cookie-cutter pop and country (shudder).

And I'll get on my soapbox for about 3 seconds here to say that vinyl rules! Buy some today! If you're ever in Grand Rapids, Michigan, hit the Corner Record Shop on Chicago Drive. Great selection, good prices, and a very nice group of people working there.

80's metal (yes, even the glam-rock)
Old school country (Marty Robbins is very cool, and how could you not like Patsy Kline?)
Most metal, but not if it is just copy-cat noise.
Some techno, but not if all it's doing is booming. I gotta have some actual rhythm and movement.

                            ...and these guys! www.pathetics.com

OK, the drummer Devon is my nephew, but the band has a ton of fun when they play a club!
