Want to upgrade HALO to the max - just got Xmod...

I've got a stock HALO and have been out of the psort for over 2 years. I want to get back in andwould like to upgrade my HALO to the hilt with what ever the "best of breed" current upgrades out there are.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

well, if you want to use eyes, you can get the v35 board. that can feed around 35 bps. there's also the empire B2 board, which makes the hopper sound activated. its a little faster, but some people like eyes better.

if you dont have a rip drive you might want one. this allows you to feed balls into the gun even with no batteries.

there are also many upgrades such as new shells and drive cones, but you dont really need all that.

the best place to get everything would probably be action village.

Well, first off, I seriously doubt you can get a v35 board to hit 35 bps. Zak did several videos showing the halo not keeping up in comparison to the qloader, and the qloader only hit 34 max.

I would get a pulse and rf chip. Faster than the halo, longer battery life, pretty sure it's lighter too? Plus the easy cleaning tray and unbreakable shells are nice. If I were you and wanting to drop alot of money on a halo, get a pulse instead. You drop $80 on a cheetah board, $50 on a battery pack, and you're already way over what it would cost to sell the halo and buy a pulse.

The Boost pack is supposed to make a huge difference in the performance. (ANd works great with the v35 board).

ways to make your halo better for cheap:

Speedwheel changes the ratio of the drive wheel to spin the belt faster
And then get an XMODS Stage 2 Motor for a couple bucks off ebay
then a boost pack.
Finally a V35 board if that's fast enough.

IDK, I wouldn't get the V35, seems limiting. Maybe a Angry board, or if you can find it, the Cheetah board.

I have at least a half dozen bone stock Halos/Empires in rotation and have never had an issue with any of them keeping at at all at legal ROFs. 20+ stock more than plenty. IMO , don't thro money in the trash even tho I know thats the 'baller' kinda thing to do. :)
