Star Wars: Death of N'Sync!!! SW Fans Rejoice!

    Found this at sci-fi.com today.

    N'Sync Dropped From Episode II

Extremely negative reaction has prompted George Lucas to drop a cameo appearance by N'Sync in his upcoming Star Wars: Episode II--Attack of the Clones, group member Joey Fatone reportedly told a Florida radio show. Fatone told the Carson Radio Show on 93.3 FM, "I'm going to make it officially known they dropped it because people made a big deal about it," according to reports on the Ananova and Empire Online Web sites. "We're not going to be in it, and I'm not going to comment on it anymore."

Since word leaked of the boy band's possible participation in the prequel, fan reaction has been almost universally negative (see SCI FI Wire's poll this week). Fatone confirmed that the band had visited the set of Attack of the Clones and was going to do a small scene.

I'm still pissed that George even considered this. But it is nice to see that he listened to the true fans.
Now I can go see the movie and not be ashamed "does happy dance".

Good...now I can quit my gagging.

I heard that it wasn't Lucas' idea to put them in....it was the producer's??? Is that right? I don't know....I don't care....in the end I will concentrate on Yoda opening a can of Whoop Butt. "Your butt I will kick....yesssss hmmmhmmhmm"

If Lucas did a really cool dismemberment scene with them, I wouldn't mind it if he kept them. :)

Offical word was it was McCullam's[sp] idea, and when George heard all the backlash from fans he got rid of em.

well here's some more bad news.

Lucasfilm Again Says N'Sync Not Cut Yet
                  Fri, Jan 11, 02 02:10:33 PM EST

Again we find word that apparently the boy band N'Sync hasn't been cut yet as previously thought. More information surfaces today about the on again, off again relationship.
SciFi.Com spoke with Lucasfilm's Lynne Hale who says they're not gone yet, despite claims by Joey Fatone on the radio:

Not so, said Lucasfilm spokeswoman Lynne Hale. "The N'Sync guys were shot as extras ... in a background scene," she said. "Whether that makes it into the movie or not won't be determined until [director] George [Lucas] has a final edit, and he won't have that until close to the time of release." Clones is slated for a May 16 release.

Hey now all we have to do is smother theforce.net with propaganda demaning the death of Jar Jar in the opening scene.. and demand gore lots and lots of gore.

George Lucas needs to pay for what he did to the holy trilogy.

Heck I knew he was going loopy when return of the jedi had them damn annoying ewoks. damn the ewoks I hope the jawas come to endor and barbaque them little furballs in episode 3.

I hope N'SYNC should catch fire somehow and be shot dead.
