What other players think of MAG's

I could not get enough people to play in the backyard on Sunday, so I took a trip down to a field because I was yet to use the RT PRO in a game. It shot great and I had no problems. However, anyone who played some type of tournament game stated "Nice Gun, did you break anything yet?" or "Is it actually working?" or "It is cold out, break any paint yet?". It may be just me, but I think some marketing to counter this type of image might be needed. Just a thought.

honestly i usually get those stupid comments from old people or young kids caught up in their cocker fantasies. most people around here seem to pretty much know what a mag is all about.

The mag and all it's offshoots are probably the best designed mid-level to high-end markers out there. Provided you check your seals every now and then, a mag can beat any other marker in terms of reliability and consistency. Autocockers are notorious for fouling up. What do you expect when it has a ridiculous number of moving parts that all have to be in sync? Whoever was hassling you about the RT was just being spiteful.

when i played w/ my mag i didnt get a single comment to the effect of chopping. I got some how do you like its, and i tried to sell them too, some kids were talkin to me and im like, you can field strip the gun in record time and it hardly ever breaks, and i told them it cant chop(you have to make some lies to sell a product, unless of course you are AGD) I also saw a black dragun gun, and i would like to say it shot very well...but the guy(the only other sensible player on our team might i ad) had a ball jam, and the shell got stuck in the bolt and it wouldnt cock...o how i love not having external parts and having to worry about whether or not a gun chops.

I don't get it. Why do people think mags suck!? I have yet to have a ball break with a decent brand of paint, I have never had any problems with my mag, and i love it to death. Rumors rumors...

I actually had better conversations about the gun with kids around 13 years old, then I had with guys 20 years old. One kid bought a used MAG that was broke. Told him to come to this site and post his tech question or to call air gun design tech support.

the ones i were talking to were also about 12 year old tippman toters, im only 16 so i dont talk to the 20+ year old guys very much...but i think the willingness to change lies more with a younger group and not the older ones. The older ones are too set in their ways and their thoughts

I've never gotten any crap for having a mag. It is kinda butt ugly compared to the other good guns though, oh well. The SFL is sexy as hell of course.
Now that's the ugliest damn bong I've ever seen.

I've had a love-hate relationship with mags... whenever I have owned an Angel (99 Dark LED) or a cocker (ANS GenX3), I start to miss the simplicity of the automag and how easy it is to mod and take care of... but when I own a mag (68 Classic, Vertical Feed E-Mag w/Freak), I really want to go back to the cockers smooth action, or an electro's snappy feel... Idunno... Im actually going back to an STO, having traded my E-Mag... In Maine mags tend to be a big pain in the *** sometimes... in the summer time they work well... but once the conditions turn snowy... its all over for ya, and the choppage is insane!

If I think back really far I think I broke a ball w/ my retro. Oh wait it was because I was using someone elses barrel and he didnt have a nubbin in it. Oh and the time i stuck my barrel in the sand it broke in the barrel. Besides that Ive never chopped w/ my retro. I don't no how too. ive tried to chop balls. I cant

I may not have a mag but they aren't considered very high at one play I will be going to play paintball at. It's called STP and it is in Everett, Wa for all of you who haven't gone there yet. They have mags as rental guns so people think mags suck.

I like when people think my gun sucks. Then I can make fun of them for eliminating them with a "POS" or when their's breaks. Once I got my emag set up I haven't had any problems with it for a long time.
One more thing: Who ever said they never broke a ball is A. lying B. hasn't played long enough or C. has elves chambering each round and making sure it isn't defective before firing.
Death smiles on us all. The only thing we can do is smile back.

I want an emag setup just to woo every person at the fields. I would really enjoy looking at some of the faces of certain players.
