First of all I think the add puts out a negative idea of paintball, because she is not wearing full face protection and I know they needed to do that in order to sell sell sell.

Anyway the gun is either a PT enforcer or a PT extreme I think there made by 32 degrees and can be found at alot of paintball shops.

Just to let you guys know, the paintball pistol in the advertisment is a PT Professional/Punisher, not an Xtreme or Enforcer. How do I know? They are distrubited solely by Paintball Online and I&I Sports, and I've got three of them sitting in the glass case in front of me

By the way, the Enforcer and Xtreme are not made by 32 Degrees/NPS, they simply act as the US distribution point. The same thing is done with the HALO (though Odyssey is also based in the US). All of the PT series of pistols are made overseas.

        Hasta,

        Matt

How does not wearing the full face protection, put out a negative image for paintball. It might not be the correct image, but I don't think it is negative.

As the ad stands, it's not that bad, and could be alot worse.

Also I don't think that those are "ski" goggles, I think they are spectras with the face protection removed.

              Negative Image ...

The negative image comes from little kids immatating what they see on tv and in magazines. Little kids goes out in the backyard with their buddies and pull off the full face protection and then come home to their mother with bruised cheeks. Now combine this with the fact that most kids don't have chronos in the backyard, and think that jacking up the velocity will give them longer ranges and better accuracy, and I think you can see where I am going with this...

I know where you are going with this........I still don't think the ad, or what you are talking about is the negative image. While I don't agree with the ad, I feel at least they tried, unlike many TV shows, which did nothing of the sort. She is wearing goggles, that look to be actual paintball goggles, not some shop goggles from somewhere.

Yea, she's not wearing the face protection, but that standard hasn't been around that long, less than half the time paintball has been around. And one of the reasons that full face protection was first mandated, wasn't for the protection, but because "pro" players didn't like to were it, because they could get bounces off their bare skin.

She isn' some overweight guy dressed in camo from head to toe, pretending to play army, pretending to kill people. I feel that would be negative for the sport.

Saying that a little kid coming back from playing paintball with bruised cheeks is bad, newsflash kids get bruised, cut up, and broken bones in lots of ways that aren't paintball related. That's part of growing up.

The stuff about the chrono I agree with but I also beleve that parents should be held more accountable for there children's actions, and not try to pass it off on the mass media. Too many parents try to pass TV, video games, and magazines off as babysitters, and they take no resposibility for their children's actions.

I got a little side tracked, but I think you see where I'm going.
