my new emag lowers, please help with my mech mode

my new lowers wont fire in mech mode
it almost seems like the sear rod is to short
should i turn that out or leave it to factory spec?

Is the rod sticking out behind the trigger? Look to see if when the trigger is pulled in mech the rod comes in contact with the back of the trigger. If it isnt sticking out or not enough then yes you will have to turn it out. Pictures wwould help us diagnose the problem better so if you can post some up.

it sticks out about half the distance between the trigger and frame
and when i pull it all the way back it does not fire

that sounds like it is the right distance, is the sear in good condition?

          seems to be
so the sear is supposed to be that far back?

Well its hard to tell with out any measurements of how far the rod is sticking out, does it feel like there is any resistance when the trigger is pulled in mech? Just to be clear, it fires just fine in electronic mode correct?

yeah fires like a freaking beast in E-mode
and in mech mode, i can feel a little resistence from the pin yes
is there a thread somewhere that has pictures and shows how to take out the sear from the noid?

The 'noid plunger is held in by a C-clip. When you pop the clip out it should lift freely.

Yeah, it sounds like the sear isn't dropping enough to release the bolt excepting in E-mode but the rod can't be out very far otherwise it would just fire in mech mode.

At the top of the TechForum page there is a tolernaces thread stickied. Check it to see some measurements.

Actually... what kind of valve is in it?

The Emag valves had a different length on/off pin that was a lot shorter IIRC. That could be the problem.

i bought an emag on/off assembly for it so the on/off pin should be the right length
                  as far as what valve
                  im using an "X" valve

adjust the mech trigger rod out until there is only a small gap between it and the trigger when it is in Emode

I don't think he specifically mentions setting up your trigger rod, other than maybe that it's factory set... but it's good watch so you can get comfortable disassembling your lowers.

                            What kind of trigger?

As I recall, some triggers wouldn't work in mech mode.

the trigger i have is a fireblade
                              also
i turned out the pin a little and am getting it to fire but it is reactive for some reason and also gets stuck
so i stick my finger down the break and push the bolt and it resets

                              any thoughts?
