So my Tac is shooting full auto. But not the good kind

Yesterday I was airing up my Tac, making sure it was good to go for a game this weekend since my Borg isn't working (****ing fantastic). Anyway, I installed a new ASA to the Tac-One as well as some macroline, and while I was doing this, I played with the Level 10 and X-Valve a bit. I changed out my o-ring and o-ring carrier to a smaller, more appropriate size, and I did some basic oiling/whatever. I didn't change any shims or anything like that, the only thing I actually changed was the carrier, but I did it because I wasn't seeing very good consistency across the chrono with my current set up.

Anyways, I just got done working on my Borg, and I installed my best ASA back on my Mag and aired it up after Loc-Titing some stuff to make sure it worked fine. And to my luck would have it, now it will shoot for as long as I hold down the trigger.

Any ideas on what is wrong? It's 1:30 here, so I can't actually chrono to see what my velocity is if that would effect anything, but I think I was cranking it pretty high when I was screwing around with my Mag yesterday.

For what it's worth, my tank still has about 2000 psi worth of air in it. So... any ideas? I think I had this problem before, and it had to do something with the shims... I don't know. I'm burned out from that damn Borg though, so rather than experiment with the X-Valve myself tonight, I'm brainstorming now and looking at it in the morning.

Mine does that every now and then but just adding a few drops of oil fixes it right up. Make sure no debris got into the valve first tho, just to be on the safe side.

So I should just drop the oil in the ASA and see if that helps?

I don't think anything is in the Valve. There actually was some teflon... flak or something inside the X-Valve, but that's what I was originally getting rid of

        Stealing,

The carrier has nothing to do with velocity consistency. Change back to the original carrier o-ring and the largest carrier that doesn't leak.

Look to the Regulator Seat O-ring (nicks, dirt, debris) and the Regulator Piston and/or Reg spring for inconsistent velocity issues.

If the gas to the bolt doesn't shut off when you hold the trigger, your on/off isn't sealing to an "off" position. Make sure your on/off top o-rings are in place and dirt/nick free.

          Yep..in the ASA.

If evans troubleshooting doesn't work and you have a QD at the back end of the guns reg, 4-6 drops right at the source should do the trick. Everyone's gun is different tho. Your problem could be something else. If you changed anything from the last time it was working properly then I would revert back to how you had it and then troubleshoot in baby step to fix your consistency problem.

If you have the ULT on/off installed remove shims until it does not rapid fire when you hold the trigger.

Thanks for the help guys, I fixed it. I got out my chrono, and I was shooting about 345fps. When I brought it back down to around 285, everything was running fine.
