Lasering Questions/suggestions...

is lasering freak inserts going to affect them. would lasering them do anything to them in general (besides changing what it looks like...)

also does a marker have to be disassembled to be lasered (I.E. take the board out and such...)

is there any way to do a fade effect with laser engraving?

also would it help the laser-er (or whatever you call em) if i were to provide a reference pic... if so how should i do it, just put the pattern on a page or photoshop it onto the marker itself?

also who would be a good person to send to for lasering... i was thinking Kohn sports... but who else would be a good choice?

you can get fade anno, but I'm pretty sure that it could be done with lasering by just having the machine dot the surface with consecutively less and less dots to create fade.

as far as the lasering affecting the performance of the freak insert, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine... I don't think it could produce enough heat to warp the insert. (if that was what you were worried about)
