    Marker designer WANTED

    Hi Ya'll,

This is my first thread. First time on this site. My name is Damien, I live in QLD Australia. I have been searching hi and low for someone or some company who could help me design a basic electric marker. For eventual mass production. It just has to be extremely durable, relatively cheap to manufacter ( as cheap as possible ), and electric with only an ON/OFF option.

I want to design a new marker for the public market eg. Public fields where the public can go and have a slash, corporate or personal events. I forsee my eventual finished product will ultimately be what every public field owner will desire as I have my own ad-on for the finished marker.

If anyone can help please let me know. Preferably an Aussie contact would be ideal but at the moment I am willing to talk to anyone.

I am an ex referee, I own an EGO8 with Virtue OLED board and deathstix barrel kit. Love it.

If you want these kind of services you would have to be willing to put forth big bucks for the person who helps you. Designing a marker, especially one every field owner would want to use, that is cheap enough for them to buy, is not an easy task. The one who stands to profit from the person's work is you, so they also will need a lot of compensation for their work. You also have to ask yourself that if someone could design a marker, why would they make the design and then give it to you to profit from? They could just as easily keep the design for themselves and produce it or sell it to someone who would pay what they think it is worth.

You are basically saying you are looking to hire a mechanical engineer, and i say hire because no one would do this for free. That means, like i said, you will have to put forth the money that is equal to the amount of work that went into the design. I don't foresee anyone here coming to help you, but anyway welcome to the forums and i hope you can design what you want yourself.

SNOOP you are correct, but the designer would not know about the final add-on I will be placing on the marker. The add-on which will revolutionise the amateur public sector for field owners and referee's alike. You just go back to sleep mate, I know what I am doing.

Pretty rough statment to A GUY WHO HAS DESIGNED HIS OWN MARKER
Boshy when you are asking for help at a place you know nothing about , mabey you should do a " walkabout " and learn a little about where you are before making statments like this to a guy like snoopay700

            Maniac

Maybe the almight Snoop needs to ask the question first before throwing his 2 cents in where it may not be needed....or wanted. I already have potential designers and machinists from this site. Im not here to suck @rse, strictly business for me. I congratulate him for designing a marker. There are things I can do that he cant do though. No one is superman.

            Merry xmas.

Sorry Snoop if you were or have been offended.

Honestly it doesn't matter what you add on to a marker, if someone still designs a marker for you you should expect to pay big bucks. If you have the capital to start a company and make their marker they would otherwise not be able to make then it is their decision, but seeing as you are simply asking for someone to design a marker for you, you should be expecting to put forth big bucks to make it happen. I still stand by what i said, no one in their right mind would just reply to a random thread with a design in hand saying "here, take my design, profit off of my work."

Also it's very interesting that you can manage to be sarcastic toward me and apologize in the same post. Most people would see that as rude. Maniac is right, not about me, although i do appreciate his sticking up for me. You should look around at the type of people here, but also seeing as you are an ex ref with an ego i am doubting you own a company. I meant no harm by my post, simply trying to help you out since you were impatient and after 3 hours and 20 minutes were surprised no one responded. It was around midnight where i am, and most people on this site are only plus one hour or minus 2. The first thing on most boards that you should learn is not to double post, but especially when your thread has only gone a few hours with no one commenting on it. If it had gone days without a reply i could understand it, but you came off as impatient, and your only two posts were in this thread. Coming to a new forum and asking for a handout right away is never a great idea, but asking for someone to give you something that will be very profitable to you without any promises of payment for their efforts is a far worse idea.

That said, depending on what you need and everything i may be able to help you, but time is money, and my time is valuable, so in short i won't be doing it for free if you do want my help. I'm not expecting you to jump at my offer, especially if you do have other offers, but i'm just putting it out there that i would be willing to help you out. If you're serious about this pm me with details and what you want the marker to do etc and i'll see what i can do.

Snoop, your missing the point. Perhaps because I did not explain it in the first place, perhaps for good reason. The bottom line is I am after a very simple marker. Very simple. No special bits. My add-on is purely an electrical device not seen before in the skirmish scene. Or perhaps it has been or is in the making as we speak. We will soon see.

Sarcastic........Apology..........Take it how you want. Must be my Aussie charm you dont like.

                Regards

None of you know me. Im not a fan of Action. Got my EGO there though. Cr@p fields there. Just a casual player looking to make the public sector safer as there are plenty of IDIOTS out there, especially when they get markers in there hands.

Why don't you guys just point the man in the right direction instead of bashing him and let the designer tell him what he expects or wants in return. Mods should have deleted your posts the second they came up.

From the get go you all have been on the attack and for what? Him needed something milled? I'm sure the man has something already on paper/in mind that he want's transfered onto aluminum or whatever it may be. I'm sure a few here know of or is in contact with someone that could help him out.

Forseriously guys...Pfft...This isn't very AO of y'all in the slightest.

No, he doesn't want something milled, he wants something designed for him, i was never attacking him, but just telling him to spend a lot to have a marker designed for mass production. I disagree that my posts should have been deleted as they were helpful.

As for helping him out, i currently am through emails and telling him how he could get a marker designed for around 100, and i'm not charging him since it's advice, if he wants me to design something though i will.
