Wtd : price to sell , but how much?

    Hey guys!
A friend of mine is looking to part with 2 of his babys, but has no idea of what they are worth. When I say no idea, i don't mean offer him $50, he is not stupid!
Now he is looking for a price to sell, not to sit around on a forum for a while, I'll be listing them on here for him soon but what to ask?? missing things like charger, batt pack, which to you guys I know isn't much but to someone else it might mean a whole deal.
He is looking for a price for the Pair, so a total one buyer/one seller deal.

    cheers in advance!!

    CnC xmag
A nice early example. has anno wear, but this means you can reanno it without feeling guilty! comes with its original emag valve sn # em01426. Aslo comes with TL63 trigger. vert breach and original barrel. Running AGD software 3.2. brand new battery from the states, so will last a good few years!!

Non cnc xmag the true "euro mag"
Lovely condition, I've no battery pack for it tho. Lh warp breach. xmag valve xt00234. original barrel.
    running AGD 3.2 software.
    I don't have a charger for these.

oh and price on this too while i'm at it!!!

X Mags seem to be running anywhere from $700-1100 depending on condition, valve, breaches, etc. The dust black looks to be in nice condition but doesnt have the CNC battery pack. From what I have seen lately, I would guess about $800. I know the Euro body is more desireable, but honestly havent seen one in awhile, so not sure of the value. Maybe someone else can help.

    I thought I remember a 6pack selling for about $200 ahwile back.

With that said, there are several X Mags currently sitting in the Marker section that have been there for awhile. Best bet might be to post them up with want you want for them and stress that they are OBO.

IMO the CnC would have to be priced well below $1000 in order for it to sell in a reasonable time. The euro might fetch $1000 if you found the right buyer but you may have to wait for the right person to come along. It is quite an inconvenience to get a new battery and housing and then get It ano'd to match

the bad ; CNC with no CNC battery box ( I believe some were shipped with the Std box though ) , E Mag valve ( I'm certain some were shipped with these though ) , no warp breech , no charger , anno wear
the good ; new battery , TL63 , original barrel

          euro mag
the bad ; no battery pack or battery , no Vertical breach ( they are different from the CNC one & are much harder to find ) , no charger
The good ; xmag valve , original barrel , anno condition & color ( easier to match )

as other have said , the market really stinks right now , and these would have to go at the bottom of the scale ( IMHO ) , if your buddy does not NEED the cash I would recommend holding them for a while , when the economy get's better the pricing will return as the "need" of them returns

What are they worth ?? I believe it was P T Barnum that said , There is a sucker born every minute
          For the pair 1K plus

As far as I am aware the ace works, but I might check that tonight with him,
so if the pair were listed in a bulk deal at $1500 plus $ 100 shipping, for them both ( shipping from uk) he would get bites?

Hard to predict really. If you havent had multiple PM's throwing money at you already, its a sign that you may have to wait it out. Due to the amount, you may have a better time selling seperately.

                  Just a thought:

Is it possible that he swapped the valves between the two markers at some point? Didn't many, if not most, of the Euros come with E-Mag valves and not X-Mag valves? Swapping them back wouldn't make much difference in the TOTAL value of the 2 markers, but it would likely increase the value of the X while not really hurting the value of the Euro if they were sold separately...

I was thinking that, just wasn't sure. Afaik, ALL xmags had aluminum valves.

Not when it's a very early euro made jobie! If you look at the milling you can tell!! This has had 2 owners in total. It has always had an e-valve in it, wether this is the original one I couldn't be sure as it was serviced by mr sosta a few times so bits could have been swapped! This has never lived further than 20 miles from where it was made!
