Besides cosmetic differences, are there any real differences between the two? I know that with the retromag, you can switch back to an AIR valve if you want, but what other differences are there?

Retro-mag is a little smaller

The only difference between a ReTro Valve and a Classic RT valve, is the air port into the valve, which is in the bottom of the RT valve to accomodate the gas through banjo field strip bolt, and the diameter is a little bigger to accomodate the extended rear of the RT mainbody.

If your referring to the RT PRO valve, and the ReTro Valve, theyre 99.9% the same, this also goes with the E-Mag valve. The only difference between the three is one says 'ReTro Valve' one says 'RT PRO' and the other says 'E-Mag'. that and the emag uses a quad on/off top oring, but thats rather negligible, and can still take a regular on/off top oring.

an RT PRO, and E-Mag can also take regular A.I.R. valves, though, with the E-Mag, its not the a great idea :D

Thanks guys... so any performance differences between a retromag and a mag RT (original, not RT Pro), are negligible?

Pretty much, keep in mind though, that with a ReTro Mag, you may need to do a little more fine tuning to get it working optimally with your guns tolerences, seeing as the ReTro Valve isnt made for one specific marker and setup. This usually doesnt take much more than adjusting a power tube spacer and input pressure to the valve. On occasion a shorter/longer on/off pin is required, but thats rather uncommon.
