Question about warp 90* adapter

This sounds really stupid but I just got my warp, and I was fooling with it at work (don't have gun with me right now). The 90* adapter is the only thing I'm questioning on how to attach to my gun. I know the open end with the split sleeve and a screw in it attaches to the powerfeed tube. The other end attaches to the warp hose. Only thing is, the warp hose adapter doesn't fit all the way on the 90 adapter. Is it supposed to fit all the way up on the tube? Its hard to explain without pictures but there about a 1/2" space between the adapter and the raised part of the 90. I'm sure I could use the ole electrical tape (solves everything) solution but I wanted to make sure I wasn't being an idiot and not attaching it correctly. Thanks for any input.

Put the hose into the end of the hose adaptor that it fits in, and put the other side of the adaptor onto the 90. I had to use a single wrap of tape around that end to get it to fit tightly.
