Just curious, what would happen if you unscrewed the rear velocity adj. nut on the back of a mag all the way out while the gun was gassed up, would you not be able to shoot or would gas leak out?

You'd probably wind up with the velocity adjuster in your eye along with a spring pack and reg piston in your mouth. Not advisable to do that. and yes.. all your propellant would leak out as it you opened the tank not attached to the gun. (Never done it.. but I think thats what would happen)

The two holes marked -oil- will vent the air before the piston pushes all the way back and since the piston isn't pushing against the reg. valve pin, it will be pushing against the reg. seat and closing off the air flow.

In other words, nothing big would happen.
