Frame, safety removal and install

So I have one stock trigger frame for the automag RT and I want to remove the safety and put the safety in an identical Frame (identical except for the fact that it is safety-less). Is it possible to do so? I removed the set screw, spring, and bearing over the safety and it still will not come out. is it press fitted in? if so how can I make this new frame tourny legal?

You have to remove the trigger first. Gently tap the pin that holds it it from the right side of the grip towards the left. (Direction as if you were holding it out front, shooting) Tap it about 1/8" and see if there are any knurls or if its smashed.. if you see it.. keep tapping until its out. then remove trigger then the safety pin should slide right out.
