I know I have asked this before (sorry), but I need some advice

First of all, my crappy Tippmann broke again, and it is time for me to move on and stop putting money into a gun that I can't rely on and don't like. Anyway, I first need to decide whether to get a pump or a semiautomatic. The reasons I'm looking into a pump gun (yes, even for speedball) are because the cost is a lot less, and it saves money on paint an air (because it sucks to run out of money and paint when the field doesn't close for another 4 hours) and builds skill, also because I like the feeling of knowing that the design of my gun has been around since 1987. But seeing as how I might not be able to adjust to the lower rate of fire, I don't know. Also, simpler is better, and pumps seem more durable than semi's. (except for the automag)
OR, I can get another semi and just not shoot as fast. Then the rate of fire will be there if I need it, but I don't have to use it. (but we all know no one buys a Bushmaster to shoot 2 balls a second)

In the pump catagory, these are the guns I have been considering:

    WGP Sniper II

    CCI Phantom

    In the semi:

    .68 Automag

    Minimag

    ICD Bushmaster B2K

    SP Impulse

If you own or have tested these guns I would really appreciate your opinion. Thank you.

it depends on how much money u have. if money wasnt the issue, i would go with the impy. if it is would go with the 68 mag

Money is an issue, but all the guns are within my price range. The less money spent the bettter, because that's more money I can use to play. I would like to spend as little as possible, but I want to get a gun that I like and that will last me for a while, as well as one that I can fix relatively easily.

For a pump.... the Phantom all the way. i like mine even more than my KP3 or my Carter.

For a semi, I would go for a blazer (Palmer) or a mag.

Your Tippmann broke? That is very odd. What kind do you have. The 98's are indestructible in my experience.

I say 68 powerfeed, so that you can go retro later.

Look in my sig. I have replaced the entire rear bolt, the sear, the cocking knob, the end cap, the drive spring, all worn o-rings, and anything else that was broken, so I guess it's just the powertube assembly. I can't take it apart, so I don't know. There are no visible cracks in it, but I'm going to replace it eventually. It is also the only one I have seen break. (and that's out of guns like 5 year old .68 carbines used as rentals and other 98's)

if you want to do pump play go with the phantom. i really use 300 balls a day and get as many elims as when i play with a mag (when i own one on and off). personally i have no self control and if i can shoot fast i will. not saying that to be cute but i really cannot go out with a mag and shoot 500 balls for a day.

if you really want to force yourself to concentrate on aiming and teamwork go with a pump. after the second day you'll know if you made the right choice.

I am also adding a Blazer to the list of possibilities, after reading some reviews off pbreview.

i say go with a mag. paintballgear.com has tko mag packages for 279 for a powerfeed mag with a barrel , bottomline and hoses. i'd much rather own a mag than a cheap electro like a bushy or imp. as for the a pump i say get a phantom. but with the sniper 2 you could turn it into a cocker if you didnt want it to be a pump anymore.

I just ordered my Phantom. It's black, 14" barrel, .45 frame, vert. ASA, and mine when it gets here! Can't wait! I found it kind of odd that I went from wanting a multimode electropneumatic marker capable of 13+ bps to a pump.

Also, about considering a Sniper, I called WGP and they told me to get a Phantom instead of a Sniper.

I would say get the 68 too but not a new one. There are many great used mags out there that come with extras and aren't all that expensive.
