I hardly chop with mine. Try different paint to barrel matches. Try sanding your bolt to nickel smoothness (search for it). Check for anything taht might cut the ball. My mag has only chopped 5 times. Once with BE paint. Once with a bad nubbin. Twice by accidentally pulling my trigger with condom on (not a chop), and once from shooting mad fast. If your copping to much you need to check everything i mentioned above and other members can prolly tell you more.
