sticky balls...seriously though

ok i was playing last sunday and it was really humid and i had had my paint in my air conditioned room for a couple days before that. when i got out to the field and geared up the paintballs seemed to be a little greasy and as a result they would stick in the powerfeed and not enter the breach cleanly, so i'd either have to poke it in all the way or risk chopping one. of which i chopped 2 balls that day which is a record cause i never chop any paint with my minimag. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for keeping the balls dry ie throwing a little talc or something like that into the paintball bag to suck up the moisture without affecting accuracy.

I know you said you kept the paint in an air-conditioned room, but here are a few storage tips for paintballs.

Store in a Cool Dry place. Damp basements or trunks of cars are not good.

Keep the bag sealed as tight as you can. Storing paint in your loader or pods is not a real good idea.

Use paint as soon as possible once opened. After opening the bag, use the paint as soon as you can. An open bag will let quite a bit of moisture in and it can take only a few weeks to ruin the balls.

If it is raining out, keep your paint dry, keep it under shelter or even under your car. If it is a sunny day, do not leave your paint in the back seat of your car. The trunk would be better as it takes longer for a trunk to heat up than the interior of your car.

Buy quality paint. Cheap paint is just that, cheap. In most cases cheaper paint will not last.

Lastly, there are exceptions to all the things I have said. I have shot paint that was well over a year old and it shot fine. I even keep paint in my basement

Just a thought...
If your paint is still cold when you open the bag you will get condensation on them if it's humid out. Give them a chance to warm up a little first.

I store paint in my pods in my harness, and I have had that paint for over 4 months and it's still fresh.

So, Pretty much if I dont know what I am talking about, I just dont say anything

Umm...do not keep the paint in your truck and drive around with it there for long periods of time. Puttin it in the trunk when at the field is better than in the back seat on a hot sunny day.

And again, I said that there are exceptions...but as a general rule..it is not good to leave paint in your loader or pods.

Guys...I live in Texas, You don't know humid.
Seriously, I keep my paint in a small cooler(no ice,of course). It is not too big as to be in the way but it will still hold over a case of paint. After I started using it I have had absolutely no problems with my paint.
