Conflict with my gas-through and my DZ II, suggestions/help please.

Ok, i got my beautiful chrome DZ 2 a few weeks ago and i'm only doing something about this problem now. I have, basically, a stock mini mag set up( stock trigger frame, body rail, etc.). My problem is that my gas through grip( sorry, can't remember the brand or manufacturer) is too long and it isn't fitting very well with my DZ 2. The gas through is approximatly 11.0 cm or 4 5/16 inches long from top to bottom. IF i have both the gas through and cradle on at the same time the lenght of the grip actually forces the cradle downward, that's how tight the fit is( it hits the flat part of the cradle on the tank end of the cradle). So since i've abandoned the idea of actually using the gas through grip to channel air into my gun, i also don't want to use it just as a grip as it appears to be harmfull on the cradle. My question is, does anyone know of a grip( just a grip, not a gas- through)that is shorter then my gas through mentioned above, or perhaps if there's an after market vert. adapter that's shorter then the stock one. Perhaps where the bottoms of some grips are rounded this will give me the space needed. Does anyone have any solutions or any alternatives to help me out? Thanks ( and sorry for the longish post)

I had that same problem except i went to the store to see if it would fit and it didn't

I ended up having to get a Kapp DZ 2 Stubby and it works pretty nice.

BTW check my signature is your foregrip like mine?
(thats not the stubby drop on there)

I think magsrule is right. I have a kapp gas thru and it seems shorter than most others i've seen.

uummmmmm, by looking at just the picture in your sig, that grip you have appears to be the same one i have on my gun. Unfortunatly i didn't get the chance to try it out in a store first, there isn't really one around here...it's kinda every man for himself when it comes to ordering parts. Oh, and thanks for the help guys i'll check it out.

you could get the nwproducts quick disconnect bottomline adapter that puts a small space between your grip and where the dz fits. mine was too tight too, i have a micromag. i put washers in it for now where the bolts go, but im gonna get a nw products after this upcoming tourney wehn ill have money again.

well i had that problem too, that no drop would fit with my aci 6-stage expansion chamber. I traded my friend for a 4-stage, which is perfect in terms of a foregrip in my opinion (perfect diameter and finger grooves), and I got a kapp foregrip extender to give my mag a better feel with both hands.

So you can either go with a shorter foregrip, or get the kapp foregrip extender.

I wanted to use a palmer stabalizer with a DZ2, but it was just a little too long so I put washers on the screws and that spaced it out just enough where it would work. I also had to do this with the hyperframe cause the screws were so long that if I screwed them in the whole way, they'd go into the elctronics of the frame. Everything's ok now cause I have the warp, and that spaces the DZ2 out enough from the hyperframe.

Use the NW quick disconnect. As well as giving you the room to use your foregrip, it makes removing your air system much easier.

This is the KAPP rail extender.. It moves your body rail out 3". I use it when I put on my Z-Grip.
