It won't cause any shootdown. Its flow rate is just right for Mags and not too high of a flow rate that consistency is low. Higher flow rates mean less consistency and lower flow rates mean greater consistency.

What that means is when you're flowing higher volumes of gas (better flow rate), you run the risk of the regulator not recharging consistently. One time it may take .02 seconds... next time it may take .07 etc... because it has too much gas to regulate at any given time. It may even overcharge if there's too much flow rate. If you flow too little gas.. its the same, it will have to wait on more gas to build up pressure. The flatline system has been designed to have the optimal flow rate, fast re-charge, and very good consistency. Think of it as filling buckets with water from a river or stream. If the stream flow too much water.. you may over fill the bucket, if the stream is just trickling.. it will take longer to fill the buckets.. Hope this kind of clear things up for you.
