Great Lakes AO Day? anyone interested?

Hey... I'm thinking about putting together an AO day at a field in SE Michigan, mid to late summer prob'ly... can I get an idea of how many would be interested in coming? I'd like to speak with some field owners, show them what I've got to offer, and see what we can work out.

Please get this thing rolling, so I can get my legwork started... I promise good times to be had by all, and I'll do all the planning, leaving the fun to the rest of y'all! --Dave

will do, people... I'm really excited. I'm gonna go talk to the field owners this week about it. I've been trying to make pretty good friends with them (not just to suck up for this, but because I genuinely like them), and hopefully everything will work out.

DevNull: bro, thanks a BUNCH for the offer, and I will keep you in mind if the first choice falls through, but there's an AGD dealer out in SE Michigan who has a really nice field for a day like what I'm planning... I'm really mostly concerned about the distance people will be willing to drive, and I'd like to get as big of a crowd as possible, including some Ohioans (is that it?), and some Canadians (I don't think C_Mayhem will want to drive an extra 3 hours to Gun Lake AFTER driving the 5 from Toronto)

hey why dont you guys plan this later on. the nj meet is in mid-late summer. then you have the sc meet a couple months later. maybe you guys should plan this to be later so that some of the jersey boys can come up to this.

also this way you can hype it up to have a really big ao day.

i live near the east beltline and leonard area and it takes me 25 minutes to get there. Ever been to the TC hyperball field? its a mile down the road from that. Just to give you a little gauge:)

you know i never have i usually buy my stuff used and all my accesories from tc paintball since they seem to be the best and they supply gun lake with paint. Not to mention rick is nice to me:) I am how ever playing (i believe) with the 3 man team from fantasy paintball with my buddy for the gun lake tourney. Hope to see ya there.

I'm more than willing to plan and host this event if you'd like. I've got a killer woods field, a junkyard field, and a speedball field in the making. We offer camping and swimming (nice lake) at our site as well so we could make a weekend out of it. Let me know...

45 minutes based on Mapquest. That typically means that if you drive like any other person, you'll make it in 30.

Well... since the fella over on the Detroit side isn't jumping on this, I'll set something up. To give people plenty of time to plan ahead for it, how does Saturday August 30th sound?

Like I mentioned before, if you don't mind camping, you're welcome to stay on one of our sites for just $3 a head to dodge the hotel costs. It would be cool if we could get 10-15 people to come to this.

we just setup team practices on wednesday night since we have an airball field set up. 5 doller entry free air 10 doller byop fee or buy from us at 50 a case for venom all games will be on the air field we are gonna start around 5 and play till we die from exhastion or we can't see any more
