What kind of efficiency are you getting with the Level 10 in an Emag ?

For all of you out there using level 10's in Emags I need to know about what kind of efficiency you're getting from your gun. I'm going to very closely keep track of my efficiency after I fill my tank again, but rough estimates show I'm getting about 550-600 shots out of a 68ci 4500 tank. That's horrendous but hopefully I screwed up my math somewhere ! My paint to barrel match is not the greatest as the Diablo Blaze I'm using is dimpled and very inconsistently sized. I'm using it in both a .688 and .691 J&J Edge barrel. If my bore is too big for the paint will that also lessen my efficiency ? Seems like it would. I just installed my LVL10 last week and have fired about 1200-1400 shots through it. My carrier seems ok as the next size up leaks.

i think im getting a little better then that, but i may be wrong. my level 10 is set up perfect. i play with a 68/4500 nitro duck tank. i think its X-stream reg bottle. i run an input of just under 800. i want to say i was getting close to 1000 rounds on a full bottle. which is golden for me. i had a 68/3000 that was was barely getting 500 shots out of. my local feild runs the same paint, its hard to get barrel to paint match on blaze with my scepter.

if it gets you thru a game you should be fine, just have to go fill up everytime you go on the feild. id check your count, but i may be off on my count too.

Speed Kills.........but so does everything else only slower

Yes it will. You chrono readings will be more consistant, but you will have to crank it up to chrono at the same velocity you would get with a tighter barrel.

I don't know what I am getting. But I'm willing to bet I can get at least 500 out of a 68/3000.

Although I've never really counted the shots I get from a full tank, I notice no difference with my E-Mag's efficiency with LX vs. no-LX

I love this forum! I was just out in my garage tuning the LevelX on my gun wondering the same question.

I have a 68/3000 flatline. As best I could measure with that teeenie little gauge, I think I dry fired 100 times for each 500psi (ROUGHLY). So, knowing it stops firing roughly around 800 or 900 I should be able to get around the 500 mark. Which -- kinda stinks! But, I don't think I was getting more before LevelX.

I need to do a more precise measurement WITH paint.

Does dry firing use more air per shot? I don't have any scientific theory or anything, just curious.

I just checked. I had 2500 psi in my 68ci tank and got 678 shots off it. Also i'm useing the short lvl 10 spring. I get maybe 3 breaks per 1/2 case with that spring useing pretty brittle paint.

Well I refilled my tank and kept close track of my shots/air this time. I guess I was freaked about nothing since I got 420 shots on 1650psi of air. If you figure it out and I did, I come out with 1145 shots on a full 4500 tank. On a 3000 tank, it's like 760 shots. That's not much different than before I had the Level 10 in the gun. Plus I rechecked the paint to barrel match and the paint is horrible. Most of the stuff is way too big for the bore I was using. That probably explains my erratic velocity too. Since when did Diablo Blaze turn into small bore paint ? Its huge in the .691 and .688 bore back but fits about 90% of the time in the .685 bore back.

Also, the reg seat in the Emag is the same as a powertube o-ring right ?

                          GUYS!!

Dry firing will lower your shot count by at least 25% so make sure you fire paintballs.

Why would it lower my shot count ? I would think since there's no force being exerted when dry firing, the shot counts would go up.
