    MicroMag Anodizing

OK, thinking of doing a Home Anno Project, but I have some questions.

    1) How do you strip the old anno?
    2) What should I do about the steel ring?
    3) How do you get that dust finish?
    4) Whats the best dye to use?

More might come later. And I have read the article on Paintball Times(I think thats it) so dont just give me a link to that.

    Thanks

www.whitewolfannodizing.com has great links to information on how to do it.

THe best thing to do, is buy some red devil lye dran crystals, add somew ater, and dunk your parts. THen you need some acid, hydrochloric acid. you need to dunk it into that, and go from there. If you leve it in the acid long enough it will give you a satin finish. I trust that will do the trick, but do not leve it too long as it can destroy and pit the metal

micro mags have some problems with anno tho, because they have that steel ring in them. I believe datapimp filled his with resin, and that did the trick.

also, after anno, since you dont want to buy the expensive dye's, use rit dye, it works fantastically
