A marker made made with wood!

I have drawn some plans of a marker and wanted to see what it could look like when I made out of wood. So here it is for eternal internet prosperity: The WoodChunck 2k3!

The plan is actually a single tube electro-pneumatic marker I just didn't want to cut the body since the damn circular saw keeps biting in it.

Finish it off with a nice wooden barrel... the barrel might swell and shrink a bit to retain paint-to-barrel match under varying weather conditions.

put some of that water resistent finish on the wood... paint will just slide off

looks cool if it will actually shoot

sorry, but wood isn't going to hold any air pressure... but good luck

I was actually thinking about putting some aluminium "inserts" inside do it cold hold air...

but it's a side project for now

but wood... come on, i've seen a wooden car, but it was only a wooden body, fenders, doors, and whatnot, but all the vital parts were normal

but a peice of wood with inserts holding 450 psi or so, IMO, i would not touch that thing because i would rule it as extremely unsafe

I do not actually intend to pressurise it unless I build a blast wall...

problem is blast walls are heavy so I won't pressurise it...

                      lol

jam a stock cocker barrel into it and mount a dowel for the foregrip and then jam your classic valve into the back of it and throw in your stock mag trigger frame

you'll get some really ****ed up looks when you take THAT to the field

What if you sealed some 2x4's with some kind of sealer and sealed all of the angles where they connect. And then put a bunch of steel brackets around the outside. Wouldn't that hold pressure? LOL

                            right click then save as...

btw the marker is now physically destroyed, I used the gripframe to make a handle for my VM-68 and the cocker barrel is back to it's original function: taking space on my desk...

The wood blocks have disapeared in the wood chipper
