ahh!!! birdhouse, thats like the brass eagle of skateboarding IMO. its a good beginner skateboard if you dont weigh alot, they tend to snap for people 100-120+.

I ride zoo york/blacklabel 7.60-7.75, tensor trucks, black panter bearings, spitfire classic 52 mm, and jessup grip tape.

Well I rode the first skateboards in the 60's when they had metal wheels and would throw you off at every crack in the sidewalk. In the 70's I spent all my money on a Fiberflex board with high rise trucks and the new urethane wheels, what a difference! I had that skateboard until a couple years ago when one of my staff went down the comunity hallway in our building and someone stole it.

Im not too keen on birdhouse either. The tails tend to chip very easy and flatten out.
Ive been skating for about 3 years now. Its kinda hard in Alaska. We get 4 good months to skate. And when we skate in the winter its in parking garages, freezing our *insert word here*'s off. I ride a zumiez blank right now. I got indys, a-team nightlight's wheels (they glow! too bad A-team basically turned into enjoi),fkd abec five bearings, shorty's hardware, dooks, and shock pads. Its not a bad bboard. I prefer wider boards. My favorite being my old anti-hero. I like :Enjoi, Anything DLXSF (anti hero, stereo, forties, spitfire, ect),toy machine, and zero.

I only ride elements or zeros. Both are light and strong as hell. I swear by venture trucks although they dont hold up under heavy grinding. Also I would never use anythin other than spitfire wheels. thats my 2 cents.

Ha Tom! Cadillac deck, trucks and wheels. The dang thang must have weighed about 15 pounds!

We use to make our own decks in woodshop, the teacher would actually grade us on the job, but only if we could jump off the picnic bench without breaking it! That was about the extent of our "extreme" riding, jumping off or over the school benches or how many 360s we could do. Until I got my license, I skated everywhere.

I used to skate, but sold my stuff to get paintball stuff.
                    I had:

                    Yellow Flamed Logo Think Deck
Krux Chrome With Black Base Trucks
                    Chared Remains Spitfire wheels
And some Blue bearings I got of ebay.

I quit skating when i was in 7th grade.. that would have been around '89 or so. had a vision marty jiminez. slimeball wheels. cell blocks. the whole works. then my mom and i got in an argument and i quit.

started it back up just this last christmas. i have snapped 3 decks (all generic) and am on my 4th. (another generic variflex) i guess that's what happens to you when you get old an have a family...not in as good a shape as i used to be. i love it though. i used to love railslides (what we used to call them cause you had rails...now called board slides) now when i board slide, i am always scared that SNAP....CRAP!

mmmm, don't really like world industries a whole lot either, same with birdhouse. right now i have an alien workshop, its alright good pop, good concave, but it fell apart! some of the plies on the tail split apart and broke off. I've only had it for about a month and a half so it got messed up quickly. I ride venture trucks, and have german bearings. The best deck that i've had though is my medium real, so i would suggest that. I love to skate! If i can't play paintball, my other option is skating.

I just recently got into skateboarding, and after reading some reviews on the 'net I picked up this about week ago:

                              Element Survival
                              Independent trucks
                              Spitfire Widow Makers wheels
                              I forget the bearings...

Seems to work pretty nice...but I still have a lot to learn.
