    Overclocking (Brag here :)

So, I'm really bored tonight; I'm starting a bunch of topics Any overclockers here? CPU's? Video cards?

    My handywork:
    ATI Radeon LE o'ced to
185/185 Mhz with a flashed BIOS so that the card thinks it's a Radeon DDR

Also stuck on a blue orb fan to keep it cool.

      My Celeron400 is at 524.something.

My computer is right next to an A/C so no worries about keeping it cool for me.

Been overclocking since before it was popular. All you kiddies still think it's cool... was old news like 3 years ago.

Water blocks... the works. Set up couple of those long time ago. I think it was a 1.2 that I had at 1.7 stable. The cool thing now (well, starting like a year ago) is case lighting and stuff. Cut out windows, throw in neon lights and what not. I still haven't picked up my neon flex-tubing stuff for my aluminum Cooler-Master case. Beautiful case, pictures simply don't do it justice.

1.4 Athlon, ASUS A7V133, 512 Kingston, 2x30/7200 striped, GeForce3, SB Plat 5.1, Klipsch 4.1s. Never bothered to try an O/C on this one, too lazy. That big metal box is the housing for a big old 160mm fan.

Personally, I'm getting bored with all this kinda stuff... but I have one more thing that I've always wanted to do. My next project is to create a mobile. Hang computer parts from ceiling and have them revolve around each other... working.

Dual 700MHz 370pin P3s both over clocked to 933MHz. i've got temp under control though. I've got vents almost in every direction of my case . I just need a new vid card. GeForce 3 nice but too bad it's so damn expensive. i can buy an AutomaG with rev and nitro tank wit that $$.

Im not so much of the jock as you all are but I have a friend that is. He made a neeto case out of plexiglass and stuck blacklights in there. Last time I checked he was ordering some fancy pants keyboard that is flat. Like a plastic sheet basically with flat keys on it that you can roll up as I would imagine.

I have had the benefit of working for a store who's main clientel were overclockers and tinkerers. I've built so many overclocked machines and just fun machines. Right now the store has an AMD demo machine in house. Dual 1.4GHz Athlon's on the amd reference board. it's damn sweet. back when the slot athlon's first came out and golden finger devices were not available we were one of the only stores who selling resoldered athlons. Now that i have left that company i'm working for a major pc manufactuer, I guess i'll just have to tinker on my own time instead of getting paid to do it.

A friend got a pIII 550 to go 970, completely air cooled. I didn't understand the tech enough to know how it worked, but it could sure scoot.

Hmmm...had a few over the years.

                    First one: Pentium 233 o/c'd to 266

                    Second: Celeron 366 o/c'd to 550

Current: Celeron 600 o/c'd to 900...or at least it was until I got a IDE HD.

I kept on getting data corrupted on the IDE drive when used as my c: drive. Didn't have the problem on my older SCSI HD's. Thought it was kinda wierd too...wasn't overclocking the PCI bus or anything. FSB was running at 100 MHz vs the native 66 MHz speed for the Celeron, but within specs for the BX chipset. Oh well...just running the Celeron 600 at it's stock speed.
