I started thinking about this the other day when I was looking at different markers. Some of them use external hard lines for air delivery, some internal. While internal seems like the natural choice for many reasons, some markers...even top of the line ones...still go the route of the ASA bottle adapter and hardline. With the advent of the paintball magazines attempting to be the next big invention out there, what do you think will be the next big thing? Essentially, you have the operation of the gun, the delivery system for the paint and the delivery of the propellant. Each seems to be showing signs of evolution, however I think the next thing will be a smaller caliber standardized paintball size (not the fringe .43 caliber) and a magazine based delivery system for that ammunition. I think the difficulty with, and small capacity of, magazines currently steer some away from that. But, if they could tote the capacity they get with a full size hopper in the size of a magazine, why not go to that format?
