I've decided to close the rail contest thread for now because of the lack of entries.
I will come up with some other option when the slugs are done if anyone has a design they would like to see manufactured.

I thought there were few rather nice ones in the competition. :)
el pandas:)
One entry does not constitute a contest. ;)
We can still get that design in if there is a demand.
"is anybody interested in a contest?" does not constitute starting a contest. ;)
Sure it does. :)
Ending the "contest" does not imply we wont try to do some custom rails, as I said above "I will come up with some other option when the slugs are done if anyone has a design they would like to see manufactured".
If you have a valid idea people are interested in I'm sure we can make it happen. ;)
Demand #2 for Elpandas rails, both please. :D
OK, here's a RTP sear style slug rail ready for production.

Next is the AM style sear slug rail, first ones will be the same length as the RTP rails at 9.1" long.
I'll work on the programing tomorrow, then I'll cut the prototype and then we will do a quick production run of custom rails.
oh hai... whats that on top of the slug rail... is it possibly a luke slug body?
The rails can be any length.
....man buys machines and doesnt make slug body... that was my FIRST thought when I had access to machines
I spend all of my time on other peoples projects and production, personal projects are always the hardest for me to get done. ;)
LOL. An 'RTP style rail' indicates it will use an RTP sear and an 'AM style rail rail' will use an Automag sear and ASA.
If I'm making slugs in both AM and RTP styles 9.1" in length, one could make the asumption that they can be cut to a shorter length, no??
What about milling for a banjo bolt?
Yeah. Larger hole obviously for the banjo bolt itself, and an inlet port on the side. Talked to you awhile back about having another rail milled to fit a RT Classic. Might change gears and go this way if its something you'd be interested in doing. I can send you the stock rail for dimensions if you want.
I would def be interested in a am/mm tac rail
Got the AM slug rails made, I believe these will be the first ones ever available in the same length as the RTP.

I'll start putting a plan together for a run of rails.
My initial thoughts on designs will be a revamped version of the Beta rail in both RTP and AM versions, both longer in length than has been done up to now. I will try and design a notch-less design for use with ULE Warp bodies.
Second, I'll do the flat sided rail like the Shadow rail, that can be pump milled and no bump-out around the sear pin head.
Third, I'll do Tac rails in AM and RTP. (I need a body to determine layout of machining)
I plan on making a bunch of slug rails so I can work in more designs. Everyone likes the 3D cut and carved designs so I will work on some new designs after the initial project is started, but they wont be included in the initial run...
im up for a slug of both, considering price of course.
You want the slugs as is?
I'm always scared with his requests like this
February?? :)
Just giving you a hard time. :)
Here's an AM/MM Beta Slug, (rtp in length) and is Warpfeed friendly. It's kinda of hard to get the gist of in in CAD form, but here you go>>

The FG are milling is not completely decided on. Still trying to figure out if we need a small slot or a single hole for a FG mount. Whatever the case that's an easy add on.
One more>

Done. Thanks
OPBN, this is for you as promised many moons ago.
Ultralight rail asymmetrical pump milled, and a tad wider than the original. (I believe that was the request)
Drawings were difficult to orientate and color to get the shape across. I will be machining a few of these.

OOOO. Sorry, I just saw this.... I will definitely be in touch on this. I will most likely be using this with a capped valve, can you mod it so that it could be chopped in the back? Can't imagine it would take much.... But yeah, this is pretty much what I was looking for. I'll PM you.
Is this more what you had in mind?
Capped valve, ultra, asymmetrical
