With the popularity and success of recent "AO Days"; people across the country have
been starting up their own. Rather then having them all stuck at the top, I have
decided to organize a thread which will list details of upcoming AO events.

WHAT IS AN "AO DAY"?
AO Day is a day that AO members go to a specified field and play paintball, meet
face to face, swap stories, etc. It is sort of like what most do with their friends,
but on a MUCH larger scale (if they can pull it off). AO Days also usually have some
sort of “draw” to them, such as prizes, special people, etc., but don’t have to.

AO Days can also be a day where you and other from the AO community get together to
play and represent AGD at the field.

This is what you should do. Create
a new thread with the details. Then PM me the link to that thread. Then submit a
reply here to let everyone know. Once you send me the PM I will update the listing.

TIPS FOR STARTING YOUR OWN AO DAY
- Pick a date
- Give people enough notice
- Pick a location (field)
- Speak with the field owner about discounts
- Start a thread stating all the details
- Keep a list of who is attending
- Post updates and anouncements in first post
- Try to get a few prizes from sponsors

Yes! they are a job to properly organize and you must have connections and people with connections to pull them off. Do not take one on lightly. I have done quite a few Scientific Meetings and A few local tourneys so I can tell you it takes a lot of things coming together and a lot of time. Think carefully before you try this! You need a few others with similar background to make everything come off perfect (or go enough so no one cares if its not!)

We are planning on having another meet in a few months. After the SC meet. Let's hope for a mild winter again. =]

The Flordia AO meet for mid september. Me Jonno06 have arranged at orlando paintball.

NJ AO III would be awesome. I cant make SC cause of school.
I was hoping it would be during X-Mas/Winter Vacation.

Actually it might be better to have NJ in Oct cause if its cold we can all go down to SC and be warm and play paintball. I like warm:)

Hmm, I'll be any where within 5 hours of Cleveland next spring for an AO meet.. Hehe :D

Yhea so what if the cup is in october. The AO meet is in september.

i wasn't referring to the florida ao meet, i was refferring to the date of the south carolina meet. you also have to realize that cup being that week, it going to be hard to get support from the industry. the whole world of paintball revolves around world cup that week.

All we are gonna do is have people from AO come and play. We dont want like warpig to come out and make an article on us.

Northern Cali AO day

We do a monthly AO day to bring in more people every time. Most of the time people can't make it to AO day. So, that's why it is a monthly thing. We play at Sherwood in Vallejo, Ca. Our next one is this Sunday July 21, 2002. Still working on next months AO day.

I am there!!!
Just name the date, I'm sure the place will be the same, which is cool with me. I am going to try and make SC as well.

Thanks Amy. That was tenative and subject to change. MY info (I was told) that WC was the full next week before that and hense why we chose the date. If that turns out to be wrong (seems to be now darn it) we will certainly shift it so as not conflict with WC. So watch for that but we are targeting a week or so either side of that just have to also make sure our home football game schedule is not going to conflict as you cannot move around here when this town swells to 90,000 people all the sudden.

Amy, can you tell me the exact dates of WC that you show?


Clemson seems to be changing to November 2nd or 9th fopr now. Both open dates with away football games so lets hear some input on those two dates.

Good news look like I can make SC wohoo!!:D I told my dad that I would have to skip school for a couple of days to make the trip and he just said ok. Thats a good sign.

the dates for world cup as of now (unless psp/nppl changes it) are october 21 - 27.

Hey CPhillip,
The weekend of the 9th would be better. The 11th is Veterans Day. This is a Federal, State and local holiday most everywhere. This will allow more people to attend without having to take time off from work or school.

How bout a Ohio meet? Thats clost to many states inthe eastern northern kinda parts. I live in toledo ohio and would love for a AO meet. Theres 2 fiels here in toledo, 1 indoor and outdoor. Link:

Theres even pro teams that practice at our field like aftershock and tippman effect and more.

i think an ohio ao day would be great. i'm in the cincinnati area and there are 2 different indoor places , a place with a hyperball field all within 30 minutes of here. i think diehard paintball would be a good choice. they are in silver grove just across the river in ky. die hard has lots of speedball fields and is outdoor. columbus has some good fields as well.

Yeah, we need more people who agree with an Ohio one. We could do it in Cini or Toledo. Come on people, Ohio needs one.

Wait, I live in Ohio, I use a mag, my two friends use mags...
I would definately be there.
There are several good fields here, and I am sure that there are more that I haven't visited.
Hopefully someone with good organizational skills can get the ball rolling.
