Lt. Spears was the coolest character :)
You didn't know whether to love him or hate him. He was an awesome leader, but he was also a total bastard at times.
I loved the part where he runs... well, no, some people didn't see the series yet. But you people who saw it know what I mean!!!

It was based on a true story, yes, but in the show, they were characters. If it had been the REAL Lt. Spears running his little 80+ year old butt off around germany, then they wouldn't be characters. But since it was an actor playing Lt. Spears, its a character.
Also, anything like this a dramatization. Its based on what happened, but anyone who assumes it is a 100% unerring recreation of events exactly as they happened is fooling himself. Scripts are still written, writers still have an influence, and there is ALWAYS some sort of "poetic license" involved. It is not reality TV (Which one could argue isn't 100% real either :) )Comment
